Chapter 19

It was school over already and Chuck was planning on taking Toni somewhere but when he got out of class to the parking lot. He saw series of cars lined up in front of him and when they stopped lot of men in black suits emerged from the cars. He knew they were for him and why his father had sent them. His father had promised to leave him alone because Chuck didn't want this kind of attention and protection and that was why he was given his own house and car.

One of the men in black suits walked up to him

"Charles your father.... I mean the President...." Then Chuck waved his hand for him to stop

"I know" he walked to one of the cars and he was ushered in. While he was in the car he took out his phone and sent Toni a message

"Don't wait for me. I had an emergency, I'll call you - your puppy

Chuck was taken to the house and immediately he didn't have to be told he rushed to his father's study

"Dad I told you not to bother me, not to send those kind of entourage, I really don't like it"

"If I called you normally you would've ignored me" his father said "Take a seat"

Chuck hastily took a seat and stared at his father waiting for him to speak

"You know why I sent for you?"

"No why?" Chuck replied

Then his father brought out stack of pictures and placed it before him

"What's this?" Chuck asked picking them up then his mouth fell open when he saw that they were pictures of when he kissed Toni that morning

"Dad!" He half screamed "You have someone following me around, I told you not to do that"

"What of Miss Blondes?" The President asked

"I broke up with her" Chuck replied bluntly and his father laughed a little

"Charles have you gone crazy?" The president asked in a cool tone but to Chuck that tone meant more than what it seemed

"I guess so" Chuck said at first "I think I've gone crazy?. I don't like her you don't expect me to marry someone I don't like"

"Charles...." His father was about to speak but Chuck cut him off

"That's why I told you to leave me alone. I don't want to get meddled up in your business. You have my elder brother Jackson he doesn't mind being pushed around by you because you're gonna give him everything"

"That's why you need Natasha you fool!" His father snapped "She's your only insurance"

"I don't need that kind of insurance. Don't look at me like the son of the US President because I dropped that title a long time ago. I'm contended that not many people know me as your so leave it like that and don't send those kind of cars to me again. I'll be leaving now and don't waste your free time on me" and with that leaving his father in a puzzled state

"That stubborn kid" the President said folding his arms "What am I going to do with him. First I'll have to take care of that delusional love"

That evening Lyn was in her room holding a stuffed teddy to her chest. She hadn't seen or talked to Neal since the whole incident but she was sure he was at home because she saw his car when she returned from school. She wanted to talk to him but didn't know how to and it would be so lame to call him through his phone.
