On reaching home Neal saw Lyn sitting in the garden waiting outside. Immediately she saw him she stood up and ran towards him

"Did you see Ian?" She asked him first

"He's okay" Neal replied abruptly

"Thank goodness" Lyn sighed gratefully

"Are you okay?" Neal asked Lyn looking intently at her wondering if she was actually okay or not. She didn't understand the look on Neal's face, like he was trying to say something else with his eyes but wasn't sure if he could say it or rather he couldn't just do it

"Yea I suppose" she nodded running her hands through her hair.
Neal nodded and decided to leave unsure of what to say next with sounding awkward. He was halfway getting into the house when Lyn stopped him

"I'm leaving" she said and Neal tightened his grip in anger and hurt because he couldn't stop her. He ignored her and was about going inside and she said again

"Its tomorrow, I'm leaving tomorrow"
This time Neal turned back and his usual icy stare on his face

"Just do what you want" he kicked a nearby chair angrily and went inside while Lyn slumped on a chair frustrated. She didn't want to leave, she wanted to stay with Neal but somehow she wanted to get over her feelings since Neal wasn't prepared to return them. Maybe she made the right decision to leave after all, that way she could be better friends with Neal and get to know each other better rather than bickering at each other every day but one thing she knew was that she was gonna miss this arrogant jerk.

The next morning Neal had already left the house before Neal woke up. She woke up to find an empty house, it felt quite disappointing because he didn't wait to tell her bye at least, well it was quite expected from Neal Basil. She felt her phone ring from her bedside table, without even checking ID she pressed the phone to her ears

"Hey sis" was the first thing she heard. She recognized the voice immediately it was Ian.

"Ian?" She almost screamed

"Hey address me with a little more respect I'm the elder one here"

Lyn laughed into the phone "Ian are you okay?... I mean yesterday"

"Yea I'm over you. I got hotter babes... And get your things ready, I'm coming in half an hour"

"Jeez! Make it an hour"

"OK then" Ian agreed hanging up and Lyn jumped out of bed running into the shower. She got dressed quickly into a loose shirt and ripped short with converse. She packed her stuff quickly and all the necessary things she needed.

Ian came exactly in an hour giving Lyn a big tight hug when he came in.

"Hey! Big brother" Lyn chuckled when she pulled away

"Hey little sister!" He laughed ruffling her hair "You ready? Cuz we're leaving now"

"Yup I am" she said running inside to get her bag"

"Where's Neal by the way?" He called after her and didn't get a reply, but it was obvious that and he muttered to himself "He remained a bastard to the end, stupid jerk!"

At school on Monday, Ian drove Lyn to school and she had to wake up early because Ian always went to school early.

"It's fucking 7:30, who goes to school this early" Lyn whined when they got to school adjusting her tie

"Me" Ian replied turning the engine off

"Asshole!" Lyn grabbed her bag, as she came down she noticed a familiar car drive towards where Ian's car was parked. It was Neal's car, its been three days since she left Neal's house and she hadn't heard from him once. No calls, not even a text message from him.
Neal came down from his car to find Lyn staring at him and the only thing he could remember was the emptiness he felt when he realized Lyn had left the house. He had only her then but now she left and he was lonely, and that loneliness was consuming him bringing back his old self.

"Hey buddy!" Ian called breaking their eye contact and Neal looked away first

"Let's go eat breakfast" Neal said immediately as if to get away quickly

"Um okay" Ian said looking from Neal to Lyn. "I'll see you later" he said to Lyn and walked away with Neal

"What's up with you?" Ian asked Neal as they walked

"What?"

"You could have just said hi or something back there"

"I couldn't" Neal said his expression a bit saddened

"You gotta drop this conceited act of yours or you're going to lose her, if you can't talk to her now how...."

"I know" Neal half screamed frustrated "I know and I'm working on it.... I just...just...miss her a lot"

Then Lyn spotted Lyn from where he stood and she was talking and laughing to Toni and that was what he wanted to see, her smile and her laughter everyday. He wanted to be part of the reason for her happiness and then he just gave Ian a look which said I-have-an-idea

"What?" Ian stared strangely at him

"I'm going to make her mine"

Ian laughed out loud thinking Neal was only trying to be funny
"What...when?"

"Tomorrow" Neal had a sly smile staring fully at Lyn "and I got a perfect plan, come on let's go find Chuck, you guys have to help me on this one"
