not all people are meant to be rocks in your life
some of them are just sandcastles
they're lovely and exquisite
but the tide is bound to wash them away
people come and go
and that can be a very good thing
because sometimes that person is just a dandelion
when there's a whole garden of flowers and roses ahead

People come and go. Friendships don't always last. That's not a reason to avoid friendships all-together, of course. But don't cry too much when people leave or when you leave. Sometimes it was just the wrong time or place or person: it just wasn't meant to be. Be happy that you got a chance to spend time with that person, and be happy for the experience and good memories. Don't focus on the negative. And by all means, smile. There are greater things (and people) in store for you.
