It's pretty rare for someone to actually complete their New Year's Resolutions. But don't think you're setting yourself up for failure by making them. It's good to set goals for yourself, so you have something to look forward to and dream of achieveing.

---------------------
I actually made some New Years Resolutions. And they're the usual usual, except I usually have something athletic on the list, except I don't have anything like that this time. I wanna start up parkour again, because I haven't done it in a while...but I have so many other priorities..Anyway, here are my New Year's Resolutions:

1) Be a better husband and father.
2) Grow closer to God.
3) Eat healthier. >.>
-my wife wants us to go on some sort of vegetarian or whatever stint, because she wants our family to be like...a super family idk.
4) Focus on my studies.
-I get super distracted...really easy...
5) Write more.
