Akatsiki is extremely shy, kind, and modest. He doesn't particularly like violence but he knows how to do basic fighting. He only fights if it's his only option but even if it is his only option he tries everything else. He's a little insecure around one particular girl. He loves his guild very much and gets along with the Fairy Tail members quite well.
He's sting's and rouge adoptive son. The two were on a job searching an missing person(s) in an a large forest during the middle of the day. They heard the crying of a baby (clique, I know) and they found him, abandoned. Even though it was was clear what had happened to the boy they tried looking for an missing persons but found nothing. They also tried to look for the mother but came up with nothing as well. They ultimately gave up (I know. They actually gave up?! Yeah. They kinda didn't want to find her at one point.) They officially adopted him when he was 2 years old.
