Alli's POV

Weston and I are just messing around today. So far, we have watched a funny movie, eaten a lot, and well, watched YouTube videos. Specifically cats, because why not.

But I just got the craziest idea. I'm not gonna blurt it out! Don't worry about me.

Okay, you can worry a little bit.

"Weston!" I scream as he throws popcorn at me.

"What?" He laughs.

"Have you forgotten about my hair?" I complain.

"Yup!"

Then he throws most of the entire bowl at me.

"Weston Koury, you will pay!" I laugh, beating my fist.

"No I won't!" He insists.

Okay, now's the time.

"Have you heard of a game cal-" I start.

"Yes, I know what games are, Alli."

I giggle a little bit. Then I continue.

"I know that you know that you know what a game is," I say, "But have you heard of a game called 'Never have I Ever?'"

"Yessssssssssss." He indicates.

"Ummmmmmmmmmm, never have I ever," I pause for a moment, thinking of something, "Eaten a bug."

"Oh, I have. A cricket." Weston says, putting his feet up on the coffee table and hands behind his head.

I stare in disgust while he tries to keep his face normal.

Wait.

"Just kidding! Why would I ever eat a bug?" He asks.

I just continue staring in disbelief.

"Okay, never have I ever watched a cat say 'No no no no no.'" Weston lies.

"Okay! Weston! That's not true!" I yell.
"Alright, alright I admit it." Weston raises his hands in defeat.

"Say something that you truly haven't done." I insist.

"Never have I ever kissed a girl." Weston raises his eyebrows, "Think that's true?"

"Yes?"

Whoops. Was that a question that came out of my mouth or an answer?

"Well, your right." He shrugs.

He ends up blurting another one, because, well, why not?

"Never have I ever..."

"What?"

"...Been in a car accident." He finishes.
Before anything else happens, I tense up, and painful memories come back.

Flashback

It was an excellent morning. 10:34 am. My grandpa and I were driving to the mall for my 6th birthday.

"Are you excited, Alexandra?" My grandpa's husky voice asks me.

"Yes! Why wouldn't I, because I am spending time with the best man in the world! Other than my dad." I explain to him.

He chuckles, then gasps.

Before I ask what's wrong, I hear grandpa slam on the brakes, and sudden impact as a black room closes around me...

11 minutes later

I suddenly wake up, dizzy and my vision is hazy.

"Grandpa?"

I see a figure before me, not stirring.

"Grandpa!" I yell again, trying to wake him up! My mommy taught me how to take someones pulse, and I checked it.

Nothing.

I checked again, hoping for life.

Still, nothing.

I slumped down, in defeat, and cried in my dead grandfather's cold shoulder as the sirens rang in my ears...

End Flashback

"Alli!" Weston cries out.

I snap out of my vision, and see a blurry version of Weston.

"What happened?" I asked, shaking with tears.

Realizing what happened, I try to wipe my tears from my face. But Weston beat me to it.

He looks into my eyes, and I look back. He softly wiped my tears.

"He didn't deserve to die, I know." Weston says.

"Huh?" I ask, in confusion.

"You were talking while you were in that trance." He explained.

I nod.

"You're right." I agree, "He didn't."

By now, Weston and I have gotten closer and closer.

"Alexandra." I say with a shaky voice.

"Huh?" Weston asks,

I can't take it.

I close the gap between us, my tears still running down my face. It was a short, but a sweet, so very sweet, kiss.

But, there's a problem.

When we tried to pull back, we couldn't. I tried to pull back even harder, but we just ended up screaming in pain.

Great. Just great! Our braces are stuck together!

"Oh, gwate." Weston attempts to say, but my lips are in the way.

(okay guys, that sounded really weird, but you get the point, right?)
I shrug, and close the gap once more, enjoying the kiss much more this time, considering we were attached.

Kinda.

I feel Weston's lips twitch up, in a smile.

We pull away (sorta) and try to figure out how to get ourselves out of this mess.

Out of the corner of my eye, I think Weston's mom stopped at the door and wanted to come in, but saw our situation, and backed away.

What a weird situation we are in. But...

HOW ARE WE GONNA GET OUT?!

Not that I have a problem with it. *wink wink*
