Calypso wipes the tears from her eyes, as she watches the buildings pass outside the car window. Her whole life. Her whole life she has lived in that crummy cabin in the woods, and now as soon as she meets Leo Valdez, her dad has to get a new job, forcing her to move. Soon she will have a new house, go to a new school, live in new town, and have a new life. Calypso wished every night to move away, and as soon as something good happens in her life, that is when she gets her wish. Of course, just her luck.
She wonders what Leo is doing this Monday night. She wonders if he is remembering Fright night, because she his. She is remembering the feel of his body under hers, and the taste of his lips. She is remembering the look of his soft, kind brown eyes. She is remembering everything she learned about Leo Valdez.
'I promise I will see you again, Calypso...' Leo said before kissing her goodbye, Sunday night.
As the rain pours down, covering the star night filled sky, more tears run down Calypso's face as she drifts off to sleep, thinking of the Leo. Her one weekend romance. The boy she knew that she would never see again.
