Mikaela

I stood looking at that shaderoom post for the longest.
I observed every detail of it. He was wearing a yellow sweater with red print which he'd bought in Vancouver. Also the kitchen cupboards in the background were those we had at our house in Miami- I'd picked them myself so I knew it anywhere. It was definitely him.

"Miky," Dawn said softly but I didn't budge.

How could he do this was all I kept thinking.

@AugustAlsina this is some b.s! How your daughter missing but you fxckin around.

Happy birthdayyyyy @Mikaela_Mont you prolly brought dis on yourself.

@miraclewatts just cuz his daughter missing dont mean he wants you to call him daddy hoe!

I read a few of the comments, and saw that people were going in not only on August and his hoe but at me as well, for God knows what.

I felt a wave of emotion but no tears could fall. I was all cried out...but inside I was screaming.

Dawn closed her eyes and shook her head, before turning right around and leaving the kitchen.

"Mik-" Kyanne tried to say but I held up a hand signaling that she wouldn't speak.

"Excuse me," I said before making my way out the kitchen. For some reason I felt outright embarrassed. My entire family had basically just found out August was in Miami with some other girl on my birthday.

August

"See ya later Noe," I said as she waved T and I goodbye.

We'd just gotten back from the airport so we dropped ha home.

"My place?" T said

"Yeah I'm just gon' put down ma bags then head on to join da search party," I told him as he pulled away from Noelle's driveway.

We drove in silence as I just continued lookin out da window.

T's apartment wasn't all dat far, so about 20 minutes later we made it thea.

We got out da vehicle as T popped da trunk to get our bags. I helped him by placin ma carry on on da pavement, as I got ta thinkin.

"You coming?" He finally looked over and asked when he realized I was still posted up on da side of da whip.

I sighed softly, " I can't man,"

He gave a small smile.

"go on and make things right goon" He said understandin' why I was no longer gon' stay at his crib.

I nodded as he tossed me da car keys and I hopped into da driver's seat.

On our ride over hea I really got ta thinking.
Today was Kaela birthday and despite how I felt, I knew I needed to go see her... everything been fucked up lately but I didn't have it in me to not go be wit her on her birthday.

I knew a gift at this moment was pointless so I'd just go home and apologize, at least be thea' like I haven't been fa some time na'.

Ma phone rang interruptin ma train of thought.

"What up woadie?" I greeted Marvin.

"Aug man, I followed Miky's ole man to a garage earlier. He seem ta have exchanged his van for an even older ass box truck. Now He headin fa da interstate" ma boy Marv explained hurriedly.

"Dat nigga tryna leave town," I said.
"Whea yall at na'?"

I heard ma phone beep signaling a call waitin but I was too caught up in Marv's directions ta care.
