Chapter 43 – Zeptoria

“Zeptoria?!” Giselle nearly yelled. James, who was sitting across the room reading a Zeptorian newspaper, nearly jumped out of his seat startled.

“Yes, Zeptoria.” Isaac muttered. “You need to relax. It is far from a big deal.”

“Yes it is a big deal.” Giselle breathed. “I’ve never even been there, you should have warned me… I would have wore something more appropriate, something not so, I don’t know, so average! I mean it’s a location practically out of this world how could you hide –”

“You’re rambling, once again.” Isaac said. “And nobody cares what you’re dressed like; appearances don’t matter when you’re important to the only gifted land in our universe.”

Giselle remained silent.

“Besides, when a campus is being attacked the last thing on one’s mind is their outfit and whether it’s fashionable or not.” His words trailed out sarcastically.

Giselle glared. “I just remembered, I’m not supposed to be speaking to you.”

“All boarded on Z-Skylines please fasten your seatbelts we are about to take flight.” A female pilot spoke through the intercom. “Please be patient, we have a four hour flight ahead of us. If anything is needed please ask our flight attendant James. Thank you and enjoy your flight.” Giselle fastened her seatbelt to then feel the plane beginning its flight.

“Are we the only people on this plane?” Giselle asked in a hush tone. “Because it seems like their others, I mean by the way she was talking.”

“I thought you weren’t speaking to me?” Isaac asked.

Giselle gave him a tight look before clenching her jaw and glancing out the window.

“Yes, we’re the only people on this plane.” Isaac said with a sigh. “Besides James.”

Giselle ignored him. She kept her eyes out the window like he wasn’t even there. It was rude, yes, but she didn’t care. She hadn’t forgotten how he kept her in the dark for so long or the fact that he had to protect her and spend time with her because he was ordered to. Plus to top it all off Giselle felt he was being obnoxious and far too sarcastic for the mood she was in.

Looking out the window seemed better than conversation. She could make out the tiny houses and cities below her. She squinted, not being able to see any people but knowing they were down there somewhere. Moments later and the plane was in the clouds so that the blue sky surrounded her. Giselle sighed slightly enjoying the sight of the beautiful clouds.

She felt someone approaching which caused her to turn around altogether. James gave her a warm smile. “Can I be of assistance?”

Giselle felt her stomach let out a light grumble for her ears only. “Um, what kind of food do you have back there?”

James quirked an eye brow. “Anything you can think of.”

Giselle smirked. “So if I tell you I want a squirrel on a stick, you’d go to the kitchen and cook it for me?”
