"So mate, when are you leaving then?" my friend Lucas asked me.

"Probably tomorrow," I said as I sipped my coffee.

We've been in this coffee place for about half an hour waiting for my annoying mates who were supposed to be here a long time ago. We agreed to meet here to buy our Christmas presents and a few coats as well since it's colder in Britain than it is here.

"Hey Nate!" Charles said as he spotted me and Lucas.

"You were supposed to be here earlier," I said as I glared at them.

"Yeah, well let's just move on from that alright?" Charles said and laughed.

"So, have you thought about the presents you're going to buy?" Alec asked as he removed his sunglasses.

"Nope," I said with a smirk.

"Well, too bad we've already got a list," Matthew bragged.

"Then there will be more time to figure out the presents I'm going to give since you'll just pick up yours," I said.

Alec rolled his eyes while Matthew looked at the list in his phone again.

"What's this news circulating around that you and Georgina broke up?" Alec asked as he took a sip of my coffee.

"Yep, that's true," I said as I grabbed my coffee cup from him.

"Well, what happened, mate?" Charles asked.

"She was being jealous and needy again and I really got annoyed," I said. "I've had enough of her and her attitude."

"Never really liked her so I'm on your side," Alec said. "I mean you've only been with her, what? 5 months?"

I just shrugged and continued drinking my coffee.

"Hey guys," Matthew said, his brows furrowed. "Do you think Winter's going to like a Christmas jumper?"

The guys were silent and just stared at Matthew.

"Oh shit, sorry," he said and pursed his lips. "I'm just excited to see her again. It's been so long since I've seen her."

"Well, we haven't seen her for a long time as well, Matthew," Charles said and rolled his eyes at Matthew.

"If you wanted to see her so badly, then you shouldn't have come here with me. Should've just let me be alone here in Brisbane," I muttered grumpily.

"Chill, mate. We were just saying," Charles said.

"Yeah, whatever," I said.

"Come on, dude! Lighten up," Lucas said. "I mean, by what you've been telling me so far, that girl's awesome. Maybe you could get back together."

"That would be possible if Nathaniel hadn't fucked up," Matthew muttered to himself but when he realized that everybody heard him, his eyes widened. "I mean, yeah! Totally! You could get back together again and live happily ever after!"

"Come on, stupid," Charles chuckled as he dragged Matthew. "Let's go shopping."

* * *

We've been buying presents for hours now and I still haven't found a present for her. While we were walking, a shop caught my eye and I entered. It was a vintage shop with lots of cool stuff. A particular necklace stood out from the rest, a silver necklace with a snowflake with blue gems on it as a pendant.
