The next morning was spent finalizing all that needed to be done for the Christmas ball. All the while, I was trying to distract myself from thoughts of the kiss last night. I only saw Nate once today and he was with my brothers. They were planning to play footy, from what I heard.

"Natalia, what's left?" I asked, huffing out in exhaustion.

"We only have to decorate the last Christmas tree, Miss," she said.

"Alright, I'll go decorate it now," I said. "You go and get some rest."

"It's alright, I'll help you," she said with a smile.

We walked towards the Christmas tree, the boxes of baubles in both of our hands, barely seeing where we're going.

As we started putting down the boxes, loud chatter entered the room and I saw my brothers, Nate, Charles, Alec, and Matthew walk in. I can't help but blush at the sight of Nate just wearing a sleeveless shirt and shorts.

"Hey guys what are you doing?" Matthew asked as he winked at Natalia and Natalia blushed back.

"Just decorating the tree," Natalia answered shyly.

"We'll help," Nate said with a smile.

Now, it was my turn to look like a ripe tomato. "Uhhh, sure."

Me and Nate both reached for the same box and our foreheads bumped against each other.

"Ow!" I complained but later on chuckled.

"I'll get it, munchkin," Nate laughed. "We can share the baubles we'll put on the tree. So you better stick with me."

"Ok," I said, really hoping that he won't notice that I'm blushing.

"Hope you don't mind though. We played footy so I probably stink," he said.

"It's fine," I said and we started putting baubles on the branches. We've all been working on the lower half of the tree that the top part looked really bare. All of us were obviously too small to reach the top of the tree so I decided that I should just get a ladder.

I walked away, leaving the box of baubles on Nate's arms.

"Where are you going?" Nate asked.

"I'll get a ladder so that we can put baubles at the top," I answered.

I started walking again when a hand gripped my wrist.

"Come on, munchkin," Nate said with a smirk. "You don't need a ladder."

He dragged me toward the Christmas tree and I was left confused as ever. He placed the box of baubles on Matthew's arms and crouched down, still holding my wrist.

"Get on my shoulders, Munchkin," he said with a smirk.

"What?" I asked, taken aback.

"Get on my shoulders so that you can put the baubles on the tree," he said.

I hesitated, looking at him weirdly.

"Just get on," he said and tugged me.

I carefully sat on his shoulders and he wrapped his arms around my legs as he slowly stood up.

"See, you really don't need a ladder," Nate said.

We've been decorating the tree for hours now... or should I say, I've been decorating it and the others have been handing me the baubles. After a few more minutes, I was done with the decorating and Nate put me down.
