Meant to Be

Chapter 23

-Dylan-

Today was the day we're going back to L.A to spend Christmas break. I packed the rest of my clothes into my luggage and grabbed my passport as I got ready to leave.

I was kinda hesitant about Selena's offer of spending Christmas with her and her family but she insisted I go back with her. She claims that Daniella's bringing her boyfriend with her so I wouldn't intrude.

"Dylan !" Tyler yelled.

"Yeah ?"

"The taxis here , I'm gonna meet you down there."

"Ok"

I grabbed my stuff from my room, locked the door and made sure all the lights are turned off.

Heading downstairs I stopped when I saw Tyler waiting for me outside.

"Hey man." Tyler said while helping me put my luggage in the trunk.

"Hey."

"Are you ready to go back to L.A ?"

"Yeah , but are you sure it's okay for me to spend Christmas with you guys ?"

"Yes, besides I need help beating up my sisters boyfriend anyways so you'll be great help !" He reassured.

"Okay ... If you say so."
We stepped into the car as it took to JFK airport to meet up with Selena.

"So remember , don't mention anything about Justin okay ? Even if you're curious or wanna beat the shit outta him don't." I reminded Tyler. We decided to ignore the fact that Justin and Selena broke up so she could forget about him easier.

"Fine" Tyler grumbled. " I'm still gonna beat him up if he comes near my sister again."

Tyler was having the most problem with this as it seems to bother him more than Selena. Well so I thought. Every time Justin was mentioned on a magazine or even his name popped out Tyler went on a full on rant about how he's a bad person and how he shouldn't have allowed Selena to date him or how he should have stopped her.

"Hey guys !" I heard a voice yell from the distance , turning around to see Selena running to us with a bodyguard behind her.

"Hey Selena !" Tyler and I both said.

"Hey !"

"Um this is ...."

"Oh yeah , this is my bodyguards guys."

"Hey." We said awkwardly and he gave us a stiff nod.

"Why is he here ?" Tyler questioned.

"Well my management was afraid that since the fashion show has aired I might be recognized easier so they hired him for me. Since I'm not used to the fame yet."

"Oh." Tyler said awkwardly."

Well is he coming on the plane with us ?"

"Nope , he's just here to escort me to the airport." She explained. "Well you good to go now thanks." She said as he left.

"Uh guys speaking of the plane we better get going before it leaves without us."

We hurried over to check in and went through security in less than a half hour before we sat there waiting our plane.

"Guys just spit it out !" Selena blurted out.

"What ?" Tyler asked confused.

"I can tell you're dying to ask my questions with Justin. Just ask already I'm fine."

"No , we do-"

"Seriously. I know it was hard on the first day but I'm okay now. Really." Selena assured.
