It's a short chapter...

Nothing major happening. 😂 I'm so serious 🤔.

Moonie screamed when she notice blood all over her face and dress. "NOO!" She felt Kain's heavy body, he was shielding both her and Kirsten from the bullets.

TWO WEEKS LATER

"I know you're gonna make it..." Kain trailed off as he sat in the chair beside the hospital bed.

"You're a soldier, you're gonna make it... You have too." He opined as he rubbed his beard.

"Baby." Moonie called out as she walk inside, she looked over at the hospital bed and back at him.

"Where's Kirsten?" Kain asked her as he look her way.

"I left her with my mama."

She walk over towards him and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. "Are you okay?"

"Come here." Kain told her, she sat on his lap. He kissed her lips and then he took a deep breath.
"I need you right now baby, I really do need you."

"You got me." She replied back while touching his chin. "Hey, you got me... I'll always be here for you."

Moonie held the sides of his face and kissed his lips. "Everything is going to be okay." She assured him. "It was just a wake up call, that's all."

"Yeah but that's my brother." Kain replied back. "That's the only brother I have Moon... " he told her while burying his face in her jacket.

"I understand that Kain but you have to be strong and have faith..."

Kain removed his face from her jacket. He looked tired. His eyes were bloodshot red and he needed to go home so he could eat and rest up but Kain wouldn't leave the hospital. At all. No matter what.

He couldn't leave Kado in there like that.

He was having bad flashbacks. The piercing screams, the splattered blood. Nobody was hurt... Well, one of Kain's uncle got shot in the arm at their wedding and that's it but Kado was really hurt.

He saw his brother laying on the ground, in a puddle of blood with a bullet lodged into his forehead. When the paramedics arrived, they claimed that they couldn't do anything to help Kado, but Kain threatened them and they got right on it. To him, the paramedics were being lazy and if he hadn't really pushed them to work his brother then Kado would really be dead.

"Oh I didn't know that you two were going to be in here." Persia said as she walk inside with a bag in her hand. She was very pregnant as well and she was young, just like Moonie.

"I've been here since thing morning, where you been?" Kain asked in a petulant tone.

"I had to find a way up here Kain, I need to put my car in the shop." She claimed while walking over towards the bed and kissing Kado on his cheek.

"Any updates yet?" Persia asked while staring at her supposedly-babydaddy. "His face is swollen."

"It's still the same." Kain replied back to her. "He's still in a fucking coma." He raged out in anger. Moonie touch Kain's shoulder, she wanted him to calm his ass down.

Persia looked up at him and rolled her eyes real hard. Kain was acting as if it was all her fault when it wasn't. She couldn't control his actions.

"Baby, Persia can watch him, we need to go home so you can eat and get some rest." Moonie said to her husband.
