It had been exactly five days since I had Aria & I was finally ready to go home. Unfortunately, my baby girl would not be coming home with Josh & me.
As I was getting ready & gathering my things, Dr. Meredith came into the room.
"Well, Chelsea," she began. "Today's the day. Are you happy?"
"Happy that I'm going home, but unhappy that my baby won't be coming with me." I told her.
She gave me a sympathetic smile. "I know this is tough but look on the bright sides. You can come visit whenever you like & you have a pretty awesome guy helping you through all of it."
"Thank you, Dr. Meredith."
"My pleasure. I hope we meet again soon."

"Now, I'm going to go ahead & tell you," Josh said, backing out of the parking lot. "there is a surprise waiting for you at JJ's apartment building."
"What is it?" I asked him.
"If I told you it wouldn't be a surprise, now would it?"
Luckily for me, the building wasn't far away from the hospital at all. It was literally like five minutes away, but since I was expecting a surprise, the drive felt like it took years. Once Josh parked the car, I got out the best way possible without putting myself in pain.
The lift ride was just as much torture as the car ride here. Finally, we reached the floor JJ was on. I followed Josh to JJ's flat. However, when he pulled key out & unlocked the door, I realized that this was not JJ's flat.
"Welcome home." Josh announced.
I stepped inside, very confused. "Um, this is not the Sidemen house."
"You could not be more correct."
"So, what are we doing here?"
Josh laughed. "This is your surprise."
"I got the apartment so we could be closer to the hospital. Once Aria gets to come home, we can go back to the Sidemen house, if you want. I just thought it'd be way easier on both of us if we were only five minutes away from her, ya know?"
I walked up to him & stood on tip-toes to give him the biggest kiss ever.
"You are so amazing." I smiled. "I cannot wait to become your wife."
