Chapter 28

I had been sitting in my room crying all weekend. It was now Monday morning. My mom was forcing me to go to school. My alarm went off and I slowly rolled out of my bed. I went and looked at myself in the mirror. I looked like a wreck. My hair was in knots, and my eyes were extremely red from crying. What is wrong with you?! Look at you!! You let another person break you just like Cole did. You're broken Catherine. You're broken. And it's all your fault I screamed at myself in the mirror. I decided to put my hair in a ponytail and put some mascara on to make my eyes look better. Then I put a pair of leggings and a sweatshirt one. I wasn't in the mood to dress up today. Then I ran out the door. As soon as I got to school I saw Brent at the front of the school walking in. I sat in my car and started crying. I finally stopped crying and was able to get out of the car. I met Samantha and Margaret at the door. "Hey guys" I said smiling bright. "Hey. How are you?" Asked Margaret. "Great!" I lied. Samantha and Margaret glanced at each other weirdly but then just shrugged it off. We walked into school and I headed off to math class. As soon as I entered the room, I saw Brent sitting there. I took a deep breath and walked over and sat down in my assigned seat which was beside Brent. "Hi" he said. "Um hi?" I questioned back. "Listen students. Everyone knows Cole Martin right? Well his schedule was changed and he's now in this math class. Cole go ahead and take a seat on the other side of Catherine." Said Mrs Beck. Fate wasn't on my side today. Now I had both my ex boyfriends sitting beside me. Great. When Cole sat down, Brent glared at him. I don't know why. "So, how've you been Catherine?" Asked Cole. "Good. How about you Cole?" I asked. "Well, great now that I'm looking at you" Cole smirked. Brent tensed up at that but didn't say anything. "Look, Catherine I know that we've had a rough past and I'm really sorry about that. I've changed. Me and Kira are over. And I know you aren't going to take me back but I was hoping we could re start and try being friends again?" Said Cole. "I'd like that" I said smiling. After a long 45 minutes, the bell finally rung. I hurried out of the classroom to find Samantha and Margaret. While I walked out of the classroom I saw Brent grab Cole by the arm and lead him away. I didn't have time to worry about that though, so I went on my way to find my best friends
