It was Thursday night (New Year's Eve) and I was at Frankie's house alone with Kory. Well not exactly alone because I was on FaceTime with Frankie.
"Promise I'll get a New Year's kiss over the phone," I asked him.
"Whatever you want."
"Because if you don't kiss me then I'll just have to kiss Kory." Kory cocked his head at me.
"I knew I shouldn't have gotten you a dog. Damn thing is stealing my girlfriend!" Kory got up and licked my face. "No!" Kory whimpered.
"What are you doing asshole? You scared him," I said laughing. "It's alright Kory." I pet his back as he lay down.
"Just one more hour," Frankie said smiling.
"I miss you," I replied.
"I know, I feel the same way. I'll be home in two days."
"That's perfect," I said happily.
"Just-" he started, but my phone powered down and shut off.
"Shit," I exclaimed. I ran upstairs to look for a charger, but there wasn't one to be found.
I knew by the time I would get home it would already be 12 so I ran to the friend's house whose was closest to Frankie's.
Short chapter, but I promise the next one is going to be interesting ;)
