Chapter Five

                  

The band HAZE is a new band that claims to have a completely different sound than other bands. Also different style of band set up. Lead sing Hazel Cunningham is not only the singer but also lead and rhythm guitarist. Sam Bettley is the rhythm whilst being the lead. Noel Redding, former Jimi Hendrix and the Experience bassist, on bass and last but not least Keith on the drums. Not Keith Moon from the Who but Keith Cassells. The band was first started by Hazel. Keith and Sam were just studio extra's whilst she meet Noel on the streets. There aren't any singles out there as of right now but sure to be some. On this album, Robert Plant of new band Led Zeppelin was said to help write the first song 'Rainbow' on the album. Hazel stated that she "wanted to write a song for her boyfriend". Her boyfriend Brian must be very proud that she is in a band and not working at Olympic studios. Besides the song 'Rainbow', Hazel wrote a song for her young sister, now groupie, called 'Drama Queen'.  There wasn't more to ask since they are just starting out. Haze album, no title for the album yet, should be out sometime around in March so look out for it.

            Fucking Michelle. Why would she include Brian in the article? I'm not even dating him and now the public is going to think that. I'm dating Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin not Brian May. Now Jimmy's going to think I'm cheating on him. My chest became tight and my eyes started to blur. I slid down the studio wall to the floor holding my knees close to my chest. Jimmy's going to leave me. Maybe he'll believe it's all a misunderstanding. Yeah right.

            "Hazel what's wrong?" I felt someone shake me but I didn't budge, "Haze come on answer me"'

            "He's going to dump me...he's going to leave." I whispered.

            "Hazel nobody's going to leave you I promise you that."

            I sniffled my nose and wiped my eyes. I know he's going to leave me and nobody is going to tell me anything else. My eyes still a bit blurry but I manage to see that Stella was in front of me. She quickly hugged me and patted my back. Trying to keep me calm.

            "Shh it's alright."

            I pulled back, still sniffling, trying to calm down. I got up from the floor and quickly got a cigarette. I usually go out to smoke but I couldn't. I just hope that Jimmy doesn't find out.

~Jimmy's POV~

            "Here you go Jimmy" Bud said, "The newest issue of Friends you wanted."

            "Thanks Bud."

            I took the magazine from him. Hazel said that is was coming out in the last letter she sent. I had Bud go out and get the issue for me. Charlotte was still sleeping so I decided to read it before she woke up. I made myself comfortable in the chair by the fire place. Robert and Mo were sitting on the couch whilst reading different books. I turned to the page where her band was on.

            I knew she should have gone with me. I should have force her to come or at least tell that fucker to piss off. I thought by my looks he would have never attempted to take her out.

            I angrily closed the magazine and threw it on the table. The slam of the thin magazinge was quiet loud and got Robert and Mo's attention.

            "What's the matter Jim?" Robert asked.

            "Hazel and that fuck Brian."

            "May?" Mo and Robert asked together.

            "Yeah. They went out and the interviewer thinks that Brian is her boyfriend."

            "I'm sure it's a misunderstanding." Mo spoke.

            "Misunderstanding my ass. Did you see the way Hazel and him were looking at each other when we all ate dinner at her house?"

            "Yeah but she can do whatever she wants. I mean your fucking some poor girl you're never going to see again right now."

            "Okay and?"

            She rolled her eyes and went back to her book. I sarcastically laughed and walked out the room. I cupped my face with my hands. I should have just stayed home.
