(very short chapter)
Once again, I managed to wake up with a headache. It wasn't that bad though. All I can think is I didn't have much to drink...or did it? I was in bed alone. I leaned up from laying down when the blanket proceeded to fall down exposing my bare chest. I quickly pulled the covers up under my arms. I scratched the back of my head before getting out of bed. I put on a clean pair of panties and put on my silk robe. I love this robe so much I might just die in it. I tied the belt around my waist and noticed my engagement ring on me. I smiled at how shiny it was. Jimmy must have put it on me last night or when we woke up. I opened the bedroom door to walk to the kitchen. Everyone who stayed at Jimmy's house was at the table which included Stella and Mike.
"Good morning you guys" I greeted everyone while I sat down on Jimmy's lap, "How was everyone's night?"
"Wonderful" Mike smiled.
"The best night of my life" Stella smiled at Mike before kissing him.
"That's good to hear" I ran my right hand through my hair still hiding my left hand, "What's for breakfast?"
"What everyone else had, eggs, bacon and toast" my mother answered putting a plate in front of me.
I housed that whole plate down. I must have been hunger since I never do that. I had some eggs left over so I picked up my knife and scraped the reaming eggs onto the fork. I looked up at everyone when I was done and they were all staring at me. Everyone except for my mom and dad.
"Hazel what is that?" Stella asked me with an exciting tone to her voice.
"Oh this?" I lifted up my left hand, "Just a ring...an engagement ring!"
Stella let out a scream and ran over to Jimmy and I. She kissed Jimmy on the cheek and hugged me. That's a different aspect of what I thought her reaction would have been.
"Since when you two?"
"About June" Jimmy and I answered in sync.
"Why didn't you say anything?"
"Your special day was coming up and I didn't want to ruin it."
She hugged me again, "I wouldn't be upset. It's not everyday people get engaged."
"Stella, dear, yes it is" Mike corrected her.
"Whatever Mike" she joked, "I'm going to plan your bridal shower. When is the wedding?"
"We haven't decided yet" Jimmy answered the question.
Jimmy wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me back. While we were like that, a small debate started. I had no say in the matter nor did Jimmy. It was some stupid political thing that had nothing to do over here. I rubbed Jimmy's arm before leaning my head to his ear.
"I love you" I whispered into his ear.
"I love you two" hewhispered back and kissing my cheek, "More than you can imagine."
