It was the first day of May and like I predicted, we're recording. However, we only have a month to record since we are going on tour with...yup you guessed it...Led Zeppelin. Hopefully in the time we have to make an album or at least half an album and recorded were ever we are stopped at. But Jimmy got his way. I get to tour with him. I'm actually not happy about it. In all honesty I know he's going to be down some groupie's mouth and not be with me. Thank god I won't be alone since Sarah is going to be with me. Sarah agreed no volunteered to be Scars babysitter while I'm on stage or recording or at a press conference. Whatever happens she's going to watch Scar for me. She doesn't want me to pay her one cent but I can't do that. If she doesn't take the money than I'll give it to Danny to put in her bank account.

Anyways back to the studio time. We finally got the lyrics to 5/4. Everything was good. The drums sounded great and so did the guitars but the one thing was the bass. Noels been pissing me off. He's going too fast or too slow. He knows it's a 5/4 time signature.

"Damn it" I stopped playing ruining the recording, "It's a simple 5/4 time signature. You're messing the song up."

"The bass sounds better the way I'm playing the song."

"Noel I told you. All the instruments are in 5/4. Not faster not slower. Stop fucking up the song."

"Your way sounds horrible" he said in a pissy tone, "How long have you been playing in a band? A year or two?"

"If you don't like it than leave the band. We don't need you."

"Now wait a minute Hazel let's talk about this as a- "

"No need to Sam. I'm leaving" Noel interrupted Sam packing his bass up.

The whole entire day we've been clashing heads. It wouldn't end. It's probably from me saying no to going to studio since I had to take care of Scar. It's not my fault.

"So who's going to play bass now?" Keith asked.

"I don't know" I sighed, "I guess we can call it a day. I'll call you guys when I find someone new."

With that everyone packed up their instruments and things. I didn't bother since I'm going to use the time to record. I closed my eyes and rubbed my temples. What am I going to do? I have a month to find a new bassist who can play the whole first album. At least we don't have five albums they have to learn to play. All I have to say is that it's going to be fun finding a new bassist.

A couple minutes I stood in the middle of the room trying to figure out what to do. Maybe I should go home. No. I'm going to record my parts for the song and hopefully spend the rest of the time writing new songs.

"Hey Ronnie, Do ya think I can record my parts to the song?" I asked Ronnie our producer for the album, "and maybe combine it to there recording?"

"It's up to you babe" he said through the intercom making my roll my eyes when he called me babe.

"Yeah sure let's do that."

I picked up my guitar I started to play on que. Just a simple guitar parts that anyone can play. It's just a 5/4 time signature that a fucking bassist for whatever amount of years can't play. Super simple.

About one thirty in the afternoon I decided to call it quits. I got seventy percent of the album written already. There was no one in the studio so why waste money and not write songs. I also used the time to record the voice and my guitar part to Who Needs You. I packed my things and went to the front. Sam was reading a magazine at the desk. Basically the same thing I did when there was no work to be done.

"Hey Sam can I have a paper and marker?" I asked her dropping my guitar on the side of me.

"Yeah sure" she smiled handing me the paper and marker.

I quickly wrote on the paper. All it said was 'Bassist needed. Call 20 1293-518080. Ask for Hazel.' I wrote Sarah's number just in case some fan gets a hold of Jimmy's number he won't have to change it. Plus I also have a feeling he might get his panties in a bunch if I didn't talk to him about it. When I was done I handed the paper and marker back to Sam and asked her to make a copy of it.

"You need a new bassist?' she asked.

"Yeah. Noel and I had creative differences so he left."

"That sucks. You know, my bother plays bass I can ask him for you."

"Really?" I got a little excited, "Uhm give him this number, 20 3268 1077, if no one answers give him the other number."

"Well do."

With the copies I got I threw them in my case and left the studio. Of course it was piss pouring rain. Thank god I had my car with me. I'm not going to bother with putting up the flyers now. It can wait till it's not raining.

It didn't take long to get to Jimmy's apartment. I got into the flat and the phone was ringing. Not even five minutes home someone's calling. So I dropped my things down and didn't bother taking off my jacket.

"Hello?" I answered the phone.

"How are you enjoying the flat?" Jimmy asked.

"Well it's nice to hear from you. It's really nice. Great view."

"Well we're coming home in a couple days before we to Amsterdam and Brussels."

"Okay..." I kinda questioned where he was going at with this sitting down in the nearest chair.

"I was thinking that maybe we should get another house."

"Jimmy you have this apartment and the lake house Pangbourne. You sure you want to buy another one?"

"Well I can sell the lake house. There's no issue there."

"Alright but we probably won't move in till the end of the tour."

"That's fine. I've got to go. Love you."

"Love you two" I got out before the line went dead.

Well I guess I have to go house hunting now. It's not like I'm not busy or anything. Not like I have an album to record, a one year old to watch or a tour to go on. Jesus when is my life not going to be so hectic as it is...oh wait probably when I die. I shook my head laughing at myself. I'm the one who agreed to do these things I shouldn't speak like that. A sat on the chair for a few minutes before getting up to make dinner for myself. Tonight I'm going to make myself a salad with 'grilled' chicken and a nice glass of wine. The reason why I say 'grilled' like that is because there isn't a grill here but there a grill pan but it's not the same. While I was in the process of cutting up the grilled chicken the phone rang.

"Hello?" I answered the phone.

"Hi is this Hazel?" a guy asked.

"Speaking."

"Oh great. My name is Thomas, Sam's brother. She told me you were looking for a bassist?"

"Yes I am. Are you okay with recording an album in a month and going on tour June 6th and learning our songs by then?"

"That's a challenge I'm willing to take. When do I start?"

"Tomorrow?"

"That's fine. In my free time I'll learn the songs you need me to learn."

"Great. See you tomorrow at seven."

"You got it. Thank you for giving me a chance."

"No problem. Bye now."

With that I hanged the phone up and continue to make my dinner. That was actually easier than I thought it would be. Hopefully I won't need those flyers I made. Hopefully, again, this Thomas guy is the real deal and a great choice.
