A couple days after the birthday party we had Jimmy left for the tour. Well the tour didn't start till May 27th but they had a lot of things to do so they were in California till they had to leave for Amsterdam. Since then it has just been me, Scar and sometimes people would stop over. Scar just started to talk. Very little though but she's getting the use of it. She's also been trying to walk on her own. Of course I had to baby proof the house but it wasn't a big deal. At the moment Scar is by Sarah and Danny's house. They've been helping out a lot while I try to write as new album. So far I have two songs written and Keith has one. He said he wrote it at night and really wanted it on the album. So on the album he's going to play the drums while we play it on stage, I'll be playing the song. He didn't say what the lyrics were but he sent me a tape of the drum pattern. What I've heard it's a great song and I can't wait to hear the lyrics. The only problem there really is, is Noel. It's mostly been with me but he's been different since I kissed him. He's been acting like a dick and I can't stand being in the same room as him for more than ten minutes.
Back to the one song. I'm in the process of writing a song that's all in 5/4 time measure. It's going to be called 5/4 because of that reason. Sam is going to do the singing while I'm back up. I have the chords and bass line down I just need the lyrics to it but nothings coming to me. I've been working on this all day and the lyrics just aren't coming to me. I decided to take a small break and have a smoke. Maybe a smoke with help me write the lyrics.
I've been in the den writing so I had to go inside to get my smokes. I liked writing in the den. It was relaxing and nobody bothers you. Just looking out into the lake. It's even nicer when it's raining. There's something about rain that is so soothing.
Around one in the morning I decided it was time to stop playing. Even though I only got the chorus done, I wrote another song to fill the void. The new song was Who Needs You and it's pretty upbeat anti-government/war almost feeling to it. I think I'm going to have Who Needs You and the 5/4 as singles cause we have like no singles. Before leaving the den, I grabbed my guitar and walked back inside the house. The rain was still pouring on another lonely April night. It was a cold night so it made things worse. I walked over to the thermostat to turn on the heat but nothing was kicking. I think the furnace was out but then again I didn't know. So I decided to go down the basement to check on the furnace. The basement was really nice. There was a pool table and Jimmy's collection of Jack Daniels. Going down the stairs, I took the last step of the stairs and my foot became wet.
"Shit"
I pulled the sting for the light bulb to come on. When the light came on, the basement was flooded. I pulled the string again to shut the light off and ran up the stairs. I ran into Jimmy's office to see what hotel he was staying at. He left information for me head of time just in case something were to happen and thank god they were staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel. I spun the numbers to call the hotel. Hopefully I can talk to him even though it's five in the evening there.
"Hello Beverly Hills Hotel how may I help you."
"Hello this is Hazel from Olympic Studios. My boss needs to contact Mr. Grant, one of your guest, it's an emergency."
"And what's the emergency?" the front desk man asked.
"Sir, I have no idea. I just get the ordered to call our clients in case there is an emergency but I don't have his room phone to contact."
"Alright. Please hold-" the line went dead as I waited for a connection.
Thank god I might get through to Peter. I know if I asked for Jimmy's room phone, they wouldn't give it to me. I few rings and Peter answered the phone.
"Hello?" he answered the phone.
"Hi Peter this is Hazel, Jimmy's girl, do you mind getting Jimmy on the phone?"
"Why what's wrong? Is the baby okay?" he asked.
"She's fine but Jimmy's house isn't. The basement is flooded."
"Thank God" he sounded relieved, "I'll go get him just give a second or two."
"Thanks Peter."
"No problem." With that he left the phone to get Jimmy for me.
"Hello love" Jimmy answered the phone high as hell.
"Hi Jimmy, uhmm, your basement is flooding."
"Why is that? Did you touch something you shouldn't have?"
"No it's been fucking pouring all day. Should I stay or what?"
"What's with the attitude?" he laughed, "I'm sure everything's fine."
"Jimmy listen to me...YOUR BASEMENT IS FLOODED" I screamed through the phone.
"Jesus Hazel, doll you don't have to scream. Go to my apartment in London."
"Fine." I hung up on him.
I slammed the phone down with frustration. I sighed knowing it's not worth it. I pushed my bangs back before leaving his office. I walked to the living a put all my records in a pile a brought them upstairs. There was no way I was going to have my shit get all wet if the water rises. I went back down stairs to grab my guitar and notebook and brought that upstairs two. I grabbed all my favorite pairs of shoes and brought those upstairs so nothing happens to them. Clothes could be washed but not shoes. Especially the nice pairs of heels I don't want ruined. I know it just might happen.
Before I left the house, I packed a couple bags just to have some clothes with me. I might not come back for a couple weeks. Since it is the last week of April and we won't probably record till mid-May so maybe I'll stay in London. I went back into Jimmy's office to grab the extra key to his apartment. I left the office and closed the door a tab bit.
I locked up the house and went to my car. I threw my bags into the backseat and shook my hair a bit dry since it was soaked. I started my car and left. I didn't bring my guitar with me. If I needed one, Jimmy might have one in his apartment.
I took my time driving in the pouring rain. Even when I drove in Jersey in bad weather, I took my time. However, the further I went from Pangbourne the clearer the weather became. I didn't get to Jimmy's London apartment by three-thirty in the morning. I parked my car in his spot in the parking garage before going to his apartment. I was in the elevator while two young couple. They were so cute. The girl was on the man's back, kinda like a piggy back ride, and laughing. Obviously they were drunk but hey not judging.
When I got to Jimmy's apartment, I threw my bags on the floor, kicked my shoes off and took my jacket off. My hair was still soaked but I don't care. It's three in the morning. Jimmy's apartment was really nice. I would have thought it would be a mess but it wasn't. Oh and like his home in Pangbourne, it had a great view. I let out a yawn which basically told me to get my ass in bed. I took off my clothes and just left my panties on before slipping into Jimmy's hardly used bed. I starched out hearing my bones crack before falling asleep.

Hey guys! Sorry for not updating in like a month but I've been busy helping out my parents with my sister. Also I've been kinda occupied with playing guitar as much as I could before school starts back up. Also I made a little boo-boo with the last chapter. Hazel is 22 not 21 my fault. Also the two songs aren't mine in this chapter but you should totally check out. 5/4 is by the Gorillaz and Who Needs You is by the Orwells. (they are both really great bands).
So please don't kill me with these horrid updates, I'm trying my best.
