night one

"Pepper, ready?" Jungkook asked.
"No, not really." I said, biting my lips.
"It's not that bad." He said.
"There's so many people." I said, panicking.
"Pepper, breath. Once Red Velvet debuts, there would be way more people at your concerts."
"Butthere'ssomanypeoplehererightnowandIneverhadstagefrightbutit'shappeningnow." I mumbled really fast.
"Close your eyes and breath." He said, putting his hands on my shoulder.
I took a deep breath and felt a bit better.
"Now, you ready to go?"
"Yeah." I said.
I straightened my skirt and stood up. I took another quick breath. Jungkook looked at me for confirmation that I was ready. I nodded and the music started playing with Taehyung's signal when he saw that we were ready. I peeked from the side of the stage where I would soon come out on my cue. Jungkook walked out and sang.

It was my cue. I took a quick breath and sang.

We stared at each other as sang the chorus. It felt warm and comfy. It blocked out all the yelling and shouting from the crowds and I feel like I connected with the song, for a minute.

Thinking of all the beautiful things we can become
And this was all by just one glance

I look away and took a breath. I felt so much more relieved having this weight off my shoulders. The only thing is that there are 14 more nights to go. This is going to be a long but fun tour...
