Cassidy's POV-

Dexton and i sat in the car in a comfortable silence a lot of feelings were going through me but i controlled myself why is it so hard to love? Fifteen minutes later we arrived to Dexton's penthouse building. The moment i stepped into the elevator old memories rushed into my mind me and Dexton always played childish game like who enters the lift first and what not.....i looked up to Dexton and he was starring right back at me.

The lift made a ding sound and the door opened, i was about to step out but realised that this was the wrong floor i saw Ms Bramble standing out the moment she saw me she hugged me. Ms Bramble used to live in the same building and was a really good friend of Grand ma. "Oh god! Cassidy where were you and you Mr why haven't you been visiting me?" Dexton scratched the back of his neck and answered "sorry, i was a bit busy" Ms Bramble looked at me and said "good you are back, this boy here, has become a workaholic - " Before she could finish the lift buzzed again and the doors opened i hugged Ms Bramble as me and Dexton exited the lift.

Dexton entered the two floor Penthouse and straight away made his way to the kitchen throwing his Jacket suit on the couch, old habits! I smiled and entered the apartment picking up Dexton's thrown jacket. "i am sorry please take the empty room for tonight you know the way" Dexton said snatching away the Jacket suit. I simply gave a nod and headed to the extra room which was just beside Dexton's i made a call to Sofia talked to Anna when a knock came to the door i said bye to Sofia as the door opened.

It was odd seeing Dexton knock my door because he was used to entering my without giving any clue "here" Dexton said handing me a pair of shorts and a lose tee "these belong to Cara as you know she leaves her clothes here and as far i remember you and Cara used to exchange clothes" i smiled for the first time to Dexton as he continued "wear it and come down i know you are hungry" i smiled as Dexton smiled back it seemed odd that after a long time things seemed like old times .

When Dexton left the room i changed and tied my hair up in a tight pony tail and went to the kitchen, i saw Dexton standing there looking at the induction cooker he had now changed into a look sweat pant and a white shirt i headed to him as he turned around "sorry, frozen food is going to be served go take a seat" i shock my head and said "i will get the plates and waster arranged" i went to the cabinet and put everything on the table.

Dexton walked in and served the dinner to both of us we had a small talk and ate in silence after that we headed to our rooms but at 2:00 am i heard someone coughing. I dragged myself out of bed and heard the voice increase in Dexton's room without knocking i opened the door and saw the light of the washroom opened. I walked in and saw Dexton almost having tears in her eyes.

I ran up to him and patted his back after that i lead him to his bed and made him lay down i checked his head and realized he was burning "oh god Dexton you are burning stay like this i will be back in a minute" i said and went to the kitchen and prepared soup for Dexton.

When i walked back to the room and sat in the corner of the bed Dexton opened his beautiful blue eyes and looked up "i-i am fine" i shacked my head and started feeding Dexton.

The rest of the night i took care of him in the morning i woke up to see someone murmuring i looked down and realised it was  Dexton he turned and twisted slowly opening his eyes he sat up and stared straight into my eyes. I didn't even realize when i was leaning on him and suddenly our lips met.

I was soon kissing Dexton back when he suddenly backed up "Cass- Ms Valentine please get ready i will drop you of home on the way to my parents house as it is the weekend" Ms Valentine? Are you kidding a moment ago we were kissing a night before i took care of him and this is what he had to say? "i must leave on my own Sir i don't think i need a lift" i said and got up the bed but Dexton snatched my hand and pulled me to him "Cassidy i said i will leave you "so back to Cassidy, are we? Anger took the best of me "God, why is it so difficult to love you i cant believe i still love you and all you do is hurt me, no wait i hate myself because i loved you i-i hate you why are we so difficult?" i said and ran out of Dexton's room picked up my outfit from last night and left the penthouse i looked down at my outfit but was satisfied because it was full and covered.
