Chapter 13:

Perrie's POV

Anna has been in surgery for almost three hours now. Everyone passed out about an hour ago. Harry and Louis were the first ones to fall asleep. As much as it was sad and devastating for us to learn Anna was pregnant and then had a miscarriage due to crazy fans, it was heartbreaking for Harry and Louis because that baby was their blood. Harry blamed himself for pushing Anna away before hearing her out and I'm sure Louis feels the same.

I knew something happened in LA, because whenever I brought up 1D fans she would flinch and tense up. I just assumed it was because of the hate or the girl who threw her hot coffee on Anna that day. I hate that she had to go through everything pretty much alone. I know she talked to Danielle but that was over the phone. She needed someone in person to lean on. I doubt Anna leaned on Mia. They seem like good friends but I can tell Mia doesn't know much about Anna's past and Anna made sure to keep it that way. I don't blame her though. We all know about her past and all her deep dark secrets but we betrayed her by not believing her or hearing her out. Yeah I believed her but I should've had her back right from the start not caring if it caused a fight between Zayn and I. 'Hoes before bros' right?

I truly wish I could go back and time and change things. Maybe Anna and Harry would still be together with a baby due any moment. Maybe she wouldn't be in the hospital with a hole in her stomach (ulcer) I just wish things could be different for Anna. She tries so hard not to let her past dictate her life now, but I see how hard she struggles with it. Like she can't stand when especially men yell at her. She doesn't like when one of us gets drunk and she is ALWAYS frugal with her money even though she doesn't need to worry about money. Louis and the boys will always take care of her.

"What are you thinking about? " Zayn asked breaking me away from my thoughts. I didn’t even know he was awake. I looked down at him, since he had his head on my lap.

"Anna and all she's been through in her twenty years. No one deserves all the shit she's been through. " I said sadly.

"I know. Ever since we saw her at the beach a couple weeks ago I can't stop thinking about her horrible childhood and how we all had great childhoods. I almost feel guilty for having a great family who did anything and everything for me." He whispered so he didn't wake anyone.

"Yeah exactly. She is such a strong girl on the outside, but inside she is like a scared little girl." I stated quietly. Zayn nodded in agreement.

"I hope one day her and Harry can work things out and get back together. Because I honestly think he is the only one who can completely heal her from her past." Zayn said, as he looked me straight in the eyes. I smiled down at him and began to play with his already messy hair.

"I hope so. They really do belong together." I said. I leaned my head back to lean against the wall behind me as I continued to run my fingers through Zayn’s hair. After a few minutes everyone slowly started to wake up from their naps.

"Any news? " Louis asked all of us.

"I don't know mate I was sleeping." Liam shrugged.

"She is still in surgery. They should be done shortly though." I smiled weakly at Louis. He looked so tired physically and emotionally. He called his mum pretty much as soon Anna was rushed into surgery (when he got to the waiting room). She seemed to calm him down a little bit, but he was still a nervous wreck. He wouldn't admit it, but he is thinking the absolute worse.

"Look there is the Dr." Niall said pointing to Dr. Beard who was walking closer to us. Louis stood up and greeted the Dr. The rest of us stayed seated.

"Anna's surgery went great. There were no complications at all. We fixed up the Ulcer so the bleeding could stop, which it did so we are extremely happy about that. She has a few stitches above her belly button that will dissolve after a few weeks. By then the wound will be healed. Do you have any questions? " Dr. Beard asked us. We all breathed a sigh of relief.
