The One That Got Away

Chapter 9

As soon as we started the car ride my mood was lifted, not that I was in a bad mood before, but all of a sudden I felt great. I felt, somewhat, complete.

We sat in complete silence, which was comforting, knowing that I was able to enjoy time like this with Vivi. I got a large packet of crisps which I had placed near my feet out of the bag full of treats and opened it, with a huge grin on my face. YUMMY. Gosh, I’m such a child.

I turned round to look at Vivi whilst stuffing a hand full of crisps into my mouth. He was looking at me in shock

“How does someone who eat so much remain that small?” He asked with an amused tone, goodness, he’s so cute.

My mouth still full of crisps, but not wanting to let an opportunity go to waste I told him to

“Keep your eyes on the road, I’m just naturally talented” I added the last part with a smirk

“Naturally talented? Pass me the crisps”

“No, I don’t want you getting fat” I was obviously joking, he knew that by my tone of voice. He was always going on about ‘if-I-eat-to-much-I’ll-magically-grow-a-huge-ass-belly-over-night’. He was really self conscious, I don’t understand why though, cause he’s smoking hot! OO NO

Stopping mid thought I remembered something, I hadn’t peed before we left, I said I didn’t need to go when Vivi asked, just to be stubborn, but I realllllllly need to pee now, he wouldn’t let me go if I told him, I was sure of it!

“Hey, I forgot to get some drinks, you think we could stop at the next shop on the way?”

“You forgot to go  to the bathroom before we left didn’t you?”

“AREYOU STALKING ME?”

Letting out a small chuckle Vivi turned to me and said

“You’re muttering again”

“I do that a lot don’t I? I won’t even notice! I promise it’s not my fault!”

“ I know, a few days ago, I heard you saying to yourself how much you love me”

WHAT?! I turned to him with a shocked expression on my face

“I SAID THAT OUTLOUD?!”

“Calm down, you didn’t, but you practically did now” if his smirk grew any bigger, I’d smack it off. That’s so embarrassing! I can’t believe he did that!

After that I just ignored him for the rest of the trip. Even when we stopped for ‘drinks’ I just left the car without saying a word. We didn’t talk all the way to his mum.

We had finally arrived, it was a really beautiful home, it was huge with a large front garden, and apparently a pool at the back. I was secretly really happy to be there, even at that moment, but Vincent had really ticked me off, who would do that?! He knows I get really flustered about stuff like that, I wanted to tell him I loved him, I didn’t want him to take that away from me, which he now did!

I unbuckled my seat belt and was going to open the door when Vincent placed his hand under my chin turning me to face him and bringing his face only a few inches away from mine.

“If it’s any consolation, I think I’m in love with you too” he then gave me a smile, a genuine one not one of his smirks for once. I stopped thinking about his smile and thought about what he had just told me. He loves me too?

My heart started beating faster, goodness I thought I wanted it to be special, but in fact this was everything I wanted. It felt so right when those words left his lips.

Forgetting everything that happened in the last couple of hours I pulled on his t-shirt and brought his lips to mine, I didn’t kiss him though, not until I let out a soft ‘ I love you too’, that was when he closed he distance between us and let out a victorious moan.

Vivi shifted uncomfortably, I turned onto him, sitting between both seats and trying to get on Vivi’s lap, still in the drivers seat, without breaking the kiss. We managed after a minute or two and we then deepened the kiss. His bit my bottom lip softly which concluded in me letting out a small moan and his tongue caressing mine. Goodness this kiss was brilliant. The kiss quickly turned from one of happiness to one of passion. Gosh this was fu-

I was cut of from my thoughts when I heard the thumping on the car window. Looking in the direction of the noise I saw an older woman, who I expect was Vivi’s mum, with a huge smile on her face.

Goodness I was SO embarrassed at that point!

Talk about making a good impression!
