511. There are two versions of the theme song, one with English and one with Japanese lyrics. A voice actor revealed that when the Japanese version is played, the episode will be 'silly' and provide comic relief, while the English version means the episode will be more serious.
512. Due to the popularity of the character Raven in the animated series, her original character from the comics was brought back from the death.

513. The first episode of Teen Titans to be aired was actually the third episode the creators made.
514. Raven's mother Arella is the only mother of any Teen Titan to be seen in the show.
515. Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke was actually a bounty hunter in the comics. Also, the name Deathstroke was considered to sound too violent, so the producers decided to stick with his real name.
516. In contrast to the other Tamaraneans shown on the series, all of whom have red hair and green eyes, Blackfire is shown to have black hair and blue-purple eyes. Unlike the comics, Blackfire also has the ability to fly through the air at will.

517. Many parts of the series are inspired by the anime FLCL, most of all the animation style. The most repeated reference is Beast Boy's love of mopeds - a Vespa motor scooter belongs to Haruhara Haruko, the female lead in FLCL.
518. The show makes multiple references to Gotham City, the home of another DC comic hero (you guessed it!) Batman, who was partners with Robin before he joined the Teen Titans.
519. The show's version of Terra is more conflicted within herself whereas the comic version of the character was just thoroughly evil.

520. DC Comics had originally optioned the Teen Titans to be an animated series in the early 1980s, but since the rights to Robin (in conjunction with Batman) were already held by another animation company at the time, a series never went beyond the development stage.
