May I just say that Scottish accents are the absolute coolest? I'm doing my Cambridge Certificate at the moment and we practiced listening comprehension today and one of the guys talking had a Scottish accent and it was the best thing ever! Okay, enough of that now... Wish me luck for the Certificate, though, I wanna get to native speaker level! 😁

860. One of the most notable Scottish inventions is the method of logarithms which was invented in 1614 and still makes thousands of students worldwide (including me) break out in a cold sweat when mentioned in maths class.

One of the websites I went on for research showed a photo of the Phelps-twins (who played Fred and George Weasley) when talking about redheads in Scotland and I'm just so utterly confused. Like, neither are they Scottish nor do they have red hair... So, what the hell?
