"Good morning, Anna," my mom greeted as I went to the dining table and took a seat for breakfast.

"Morning," I mumbled, taking a bite on my pancake.

I noticed that Ashton, my dad and James were nowhere to be seen.

"What happened, darling?" she asked in a concerned tone. "Last night you directly go to your room looking sulky."

I sighed loudly before replying her. "Nothing really big. Michelle and I argued last night."

"Oh my," she said, looking surprised. "What were you both arguing about?"

After that, I explained to her almost every thing that occurred last night.

From when Blake and Amanda came into the scene until when Michelle left.

"Hm," she said, deep in thought as soon as I finished explaining to her. "It's not your fault, Anna. She just needs some time alone. I bet she didn't mean to snap at you like that. She was too pressured and didn't think clearly. Believe me; I've been in that situation before. You shouldn't take it too personally, alright? She doesn't know your story, so she just said what she sees or knows; based on her own point of view."

"You're saying that you've also been dumped by your boyfriend before?" I questioned, raising my eyebrow at her.

"Not really dumped," she laughed softly. "I caught him cheating once. He kissed another girl. I was really heartbroken at the sight and I was the one who dumped him. But unlike Michelle, I actually gave him a chance to talk and explain it to me. After he explained everything, we were on good terms again."

"So you got back with him?"

"No," she laughed. "After that I found your dad."

"How could you go back to being friends with him after what he had done to you?" I asked. I feel like I'm interrogating her right now.

"Like I said, I gave him a chance to talk to me and explain the whole situation. He apologised sincerely to me," she explained. "He explained that it was a big misunderstanding. At first, I didn't believe in him, but then he told me the girl was the one who kissed him suddenly, but then he didn't kiss her back; my friend was also witnessed it and told me."

"Wait a minute," I interjected. "What if Michelle and Blake's situation is something like you and your ex-boyfriend, Mum?"

"You mean like Amanda was the one who wanted to go back with him?" my mom asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes!" I exclaimed. "Because Blake told Michelle that he wanted to go back to Amanda, but then whenever I see them together, it's her who seems really excited to be with him. He doesn't look happy to be with her, at all."

"Good job for being observant, Anna," my mom said, crushing me into a hug.

"Thanks Mum," I said, breaking off the suffocating hug. "By the way where are Ashton, Dad and James?"
