"Alright! Why don't we take a break?" Mr. Peter suggested as we were rehearsing for the play. "Anna, Luke, can you come here for a while?"

I walked to our drama teacher as he was looking at us, motioning us to come near him. Luke looked curious as well as we approached him.

"Yes, Sir?" I questioned.

"I need to talk to you about the play," he started. I panicked on the inside.

Was I not good enough?

Was he going to replace me?

Was he—

"You both are incredible in acting, especially on the first few scenes," he complimented, slightly making me relieved, but I knew he was going to say something in contrary to that. "Those few scenes felt very real."

I nearly snorted at the latter statement he made, but I nodded my head in acknowledgment nevertheless.

"But next scenes and especially at the end, you actually both acted properly," he started before slightly sighing. "I don't really get the feeling when you both acted as lovers."

Well, I apologize for not having any feelings for the boy I'm acting with like the main character was supposed to.

"I understand, though," he said as if he read my mind. "Luke is new in here and you both aren't exactly...close."

"You want us to do something with it?" Luke questioned, hesitance lacing his voice.

Our teacher lit up as he heard Luke's question and clapped his hands. "Yes! That's what I wanted to tell you," he exclaimed in delight. "We still have a few more weeks to go before the real play and I'd like for you both to get at least along with each other for the sake of the play."

Honestly, I didn't know how to react to this one as this actually seemed to be impossible to do, especially in the matter of weeks.

I didn't look at the expression of Luke, but his reply left me shocked. "Well, we'll try, I guess."

Looking at our teacher whose blue eyes were lit up so brightly, he smiled at us. "Great! Why don't you both hang out after this or something like that?" he suggested.

He looked at me and probably noticed the hesitancy in my eyes. "Think of this as your homework or assignment. The next time we have this practice, I'd like to see an improvement," he said and by the look of it, he meant it. This was serious business.

"O-okay," I said, nodding my head and I turned to see Luke doing the same thing.

He nodded at us once again with a small smile. "Alright, go practice for a few more minutes before we start rehearsing again."

Nodding my head, I went back to the stage with a sigh. I flickered my eyes up to the guy beside me and he surprisingly looked at me.

"You're free today?" he asked and I almost said no instinctively, but I remembered what Mr. Peter said. It's for the sake of this play.

I shrugged. "I guess so, you?"

"I can't go out, but I'm free at home," he said and I nodded my head although I was slightly confused.

My eyes went to the clock that was placed on the wall beside the stage and I smiled a little. "So, why not we meet at the balcony at four-thirty?"

He nodded his head as he actually returned the smile. His eyes looked at me before he got up the stage. "Alright."

I stepped out of my room to the balcony, which seemed to be like a routine for me to come here often now. There was still around ten minutes to four-thirty.
