Kelly's P.O.V.
"How about we go out on a date?" I take my eyes away from my computer to raise my eyebrows at Liam, who's smirking at me.
"Why?" I ask.
"Isn't that what couples do?"
"I guess," I shrug.
"Great, I'll pick you up tonight at eight,"
"I don't know if I'm free tonight," I say.
"What do you mean?"
"I have to find someone to take care of Cole for the night,"
"He has a father," he narrows his eyes at me.
I roll my eyes and nod. "I know, I just don't know if Gordon is free to take care of Cole. He has a life, you know?"
"I just want to go on a date with you," he stomps his feet and pouts.
"Very mature, Liam." I say sarcastically.
"Whatever. I have to go back to work, let me know if you're free," he leans down and gives me a kiss.
"Okay," I say and watch him go out the door. I sigh happily and grab my phone from my desk to dial Gordon.
"Gordon speaking," I hear from the other line.
"Hey, it's Kelly, how are you?" I ask politely.
"Oh, hey Kelly, I'm fine. How about you?"
"I'm great," I reply. "I was wondering if you could take care of Cole tonight?"
"Sure, you're going out or something?"
"I'm going on a date with Liam,"
"You two are together now? He curiously asks.
"You could say that," I chuckle.
Liam is the only person I've been with since Gordon. I'm finally at a place in my life to say that Gordon is only a friend and the father of my son and I hope he could say the same thing about me.
"At what time should I drop by?"
"Seven?"
"Okay, I'll be there,"
"See you then," I end the call and immediately dial Liam to tell him the good news.
"Hey, babe,"
"I am free today," I say, smiling.
"Great, make sure to put something sexy for me," he says seductively.
"I'll make sure to do that," I joke and he laughs from the other side.
"I can't wait to see tonight,"
"You just saw me five minutes ago." I tell him and roll my eyes.
"Don't be such a smartass, Kelly,"
"I'll see you tonight,"
"Can't wait,"
We both hang up and I'm finally able to go back to work.
"You're going on a date?" Cole asks me.
"Yes, I am going on a date with Liam."
We're in my room, Cole is sprawled out in my bed and I'm standing in the middle of my closet looking for something to wear tonight.
"So, I'm staying alone?" he asks, sounding a little too happy.
"You wish, your dad is coming over here to be with you." I say and stare at the pink dress in my hands.
