Chapter 49 • "She's just jealous."

Tilly's POV

As much as it hurt I turned around sharply, running outside and leaving Luke. I met Rosie and Grace outside and we headed back to the car. It was pure daylight now and the sun was shining but somehow all I could think of was why I did what I did.

"Tilly?" Rosie breaks my thoughts.

"Yeah."

"You wanna come get frozen yogurt with us later today?" She says.

"Sure. What time?" I ask.

"Meet us there at 12." She tells me.

"Okay great." I say.

As soon as I step through the front door I go upstairs to change and after I take a 4 hour nap.

When I awake I change my screwed up top for a plain white tee shirt and put on my white converse that all go quite well with my denim shorts. I collect some money and take my phone before going to meet the girls at the beach. I plug my headphones into my phone and press play. I arrive at the beach just in time to meet Rosie and Grace but as I edge closer to the frozen yogurt palace I notice there are more girls with them. Great, just what I need to be doing, meeting new people. Hopefully they won't ask me about Luke since we didn't tell anyone we were back together.

"Tilly!" Grace shouts running up to me and wrapping her arms around me.

"Heyyy. Who are they?" I ask referencing to the three girls talking to Rosie and constantly laughing.

"Oh they are part of the cheerleaders team, we share a few classes." She says as we approach them.

"Hey Tilly." Rosie greets. "This is Lauren, Holly and Layla." She introduces them and he just smile.

"Nice to meet you." I say but again no response.

"We have to go now. So I'll see you guys later." Holly I think says.

"Oh okay. See you around?"

"Bye girls. Nice meeting you Teala." She says and I can tell its deliberate.

"Why did she call me Teala, did she not hear my name it Tilly." I laugh to Grace and Rosie but they just smile. "What? What did I do?"

"You didn't do anything. Holly has had a massive crush on Luke for ages and when she found out he was with you. She well she wasn't exactly pleased."

"Oh." I knew he was too good for me anyway.

"She's just jealous." Grace says. "Big time."

We order our frozen yogurt and sit out on the beach for a while. My phone buzzes and its Michael.

"What happened between you and Luke when we left?" It reads.

I was just about to text back when Michael texts again.

"He won't talk."

I feel bad I feel really bad but for my own doubts I couldn't go on. It would just be to hard for me however I think he knew that one day it was going to happen.

"I had to break up with him Mikey. I'm sorry I just know there's going to be loads of girls and I didn't want to go through that." I text back.
