The Chuunin Exams and a sleepover

"Yo." Kakashi and I said together as we poofed in to the meeting place at the same time. 

"YOU'RE LATE!" Naruto and Sakura screamed in our faces. Kakashi rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. 

"I had to help an old lady across the street and-" He started, but was cut off by them.

"LIAR!" they yelled at the same time. Turning to me, Sakura stuck her nose in the air. 

"And what about you?" she asked. I shrugged. "I was trying to catch my black cat while trying not to cross its path. Alot harder than it looks, ya know." I said, grinning. They sweatdropped and I lay down under a tree, leaning against a root that was jutting out of the ground. Kakashi attracted their attention and I zoned out, knowing what was about to happen. Hearing them go silent after a while, I was so used to their chakra signatures being around me I just dismissed it as normal and that they were gone, so I closed my eyes and pulled my Ipod out of my pocket, and told Siri to play my 'favorites' music list. The first song to play was Imaginary by Evanescence, and I couldn't help but sing along;

In my field of paper flowers
And candy clouds of lullaby
I lie inside myself for hours
And watch my purple sky fly over me

I sighed as the instruments carried away all thoughts other than the song, but was jerked back into reality by a soft 'Ahem'. Opening my eyes, I saw my team, Lucifer, Kago and Akira looking at me. I could feel my face heating up, and I buried my embarrassed blush in Lucifer's chest. (He's still that damn tall) 

"I-I heard you guys go quiet, so I thought you left already..." I trailed off. Naruto looked dazed, Sasuke did as well. Kakashi had his poker face on, but his eye was widened slightly. Sakura was, for some reason... not bitching or glaring. WTF?

I looked over to Akira and threw him the house key, knowing he just came back from a mission with Kago, who came over looking tired, and slumped against me. Petting his soft fur, I watched as Akira waved and walked off in the direction of the house and  barely turned in time to see a blob of orange flying towards me. Naruto glomped me and grinned. 

"That was great, Kuroi-chan! Right guys?" he looked to the rest of our team for support. Sasuke nodded and 'Hn'ed. Didn't exactly expect much. Kakashi gave a closed eye smile. 

'Okay, what the fuuuuuu-' 

"Kuroi-chan?" Naruto's voice brought me out of my not so nice thoughts. I looked over to him and he gave me the puppy dog eyes. I sighed. 

"Fine, you can stay over." I said. I couldn't stand those eyes. He brightened and grinned and pet Kago. Sasuke choked on...something and glared even harder at Naruto. The scene before looked like this; Me leaning against the tree, Naruto resting his head in my lap, facing the same direction I was, with me playing with his hair and Kago, draped over Naruto's legs, Naruto with his hand in Kago's thick fur. I struggled to get my feet from under Naruto. 

"Naru, my legs are going numb!" I said. He grinned and pushed my legs out from under him, so now they were on either side of him. 

"Naru...now I'm just sprawled." I said with a sweatdrop. Sasuke looked like he was about to explode, so I bekoned him over. He came over and kneeled next to me. 

"What?" he asked, glaring at Naruto. I sighed. 

"Dude, I know you always glare at Naru, but this time, you're trying to make a hole in his head. What's up with you?" I asked. He 'Hn'ed and looked away.
