Avengers - Easter

This is just a cute little Easter one shot I thought of! I hope everybody has/had a wonderful Easter (if you celebrate). This is the whole team but I made the reader super close to Steve (that's just what happened I don't know)
Also like I said I'm on spring break this week so I'll be updating it a lot, so leave your requests!

At the ripe age of 3 your parents were killed by HYRDA. You were experimented on for years. They gave you unimaginable strength and healing abilities. They just started making you an assassin which took a toll but you seemed to be doing okay now.

They were just about to freeze you when the Avengers attacked the base you were being held at. Ever since that wonderful day you had been staying at the Avengers tower. Today was Easter. This would be the first Easter you would actually celebrate in over 10 years, (AN: I'm going with your like 13-16ish) You didn't remember anything about Easter when you were a child and you didn't even remember it was a holiday, also the fact that you had been brainwashed didn't help.

"So, Easter? What's the point"

"Well if you believe in God it's the day Jesus resurrected. If you don't it's just a day that you get and eat so much candy you puke." Tony says smiling. You couldn't deny it sounded like a great holiday. The smile on your face showed that you were excited. This would be your first holiday with the Avengers.

The week before Wanda and Pietro had put pictures of bunnies and chicks around the tower and tossed plastic eggs about everywhere. They made your door especially festive, making the whole door a collage of Easter pictures. Bucky sat with you as you watched Hop. Overall, you were pretty excited for Easter to come.

And the day had finally come! You woke up at a normal time for you and you hopped, no pun intended, out of bed and ran down the hall. Steve's room was the closest so you burst into his first. Luckily for him he was already awake, so your happy squeals and jumping didn't wake him up.

"Happy Easter y/n!" Steve smiled reaching out to give you a hug. You happily gave him a tight squeeze.

"Happy Easter Steve!" You giggled.

"I got something for you!" He reached onto the floor and pulled out a white chocolate bunny and bag of your favorite candy. Your smile somehow grew even bigger and you hugged him once again.

"Thank you so much Steve!" The two do you chatted for a few more minutes before your stomachs began to rumble.

"C'mon I'll make you breakfast." Steve said climbing out of bed. He took your hand and you both walked to the elevator to take you down four floors to get to the kitchen and lounge. Steve walked straight to the kitchen, after dropping your hand, and you walked more into the lounge. On the coffee table in front of one of the couches had a bright f/c basket sat atop it. You scurried over to the table to examine the basket. On the front was your name in fancy script embroidery. The inside held all your favorite candies and snacks. There was even a CD of your favorite band. You couldn't believe what you were looking at. You dropped the contents in your hands and scurried off to see Steve.

"Steve somebody left me a basket in the lounge!" He turned with a surprised look on his face.

"Okay let me get this off the burner and I'll come look." He took the last pancake out of the pan and put it on a plate. We both walked into the living room and Steve laughs. "Y/N you got nice things!"

"Who got me this?"

"I'm not sure." He laughs. After you showed Steve everything, you both went to eat the pancakes that had been cooked before. Soon everybody piled into the kitchen and they fixed their own food and sat around us. 'Happy Easters' were muttered but it was mostly quiet.

"So who got y/n the really nice basket?" Steve asked finally. Everybody said it wasn't them and that they had no idea. Steve shrugged it off. You announced that you were going to get ready and changed for the day and walked out of the room.

"Okay seriously who got the basket?" Steve asked again.

"I got her a chocolate bunny but not a whole basket." Bucky announced. Nat, Bruce, Sam, Clint, and Thor said something to the same extent

"I got her an ITunes gift card." Tony shrugged when it became his turn to speak.

"We got her some makeup." Wanda speaks for both twins.

"So nobody got her the basket? It's really nice! It has embroidery on the front and it's filled to the brim with candy and her favorite things, and nobody got it?" Steve exclaims.

"I know it's fake, but Easter Bunny?" Clint tries. Everybody's head snaps towards him and beings to laugh.

"Are you kidding me? You really are a bird brain!" Tony laughs.

"I mean Clint is obviously wrong but who else did it?" Sam asked when the laughter died down. Nobody knew.

"...Maybe the Easter bunny did do it." Tony mutters after a few minutes of silence.

Little did they know you were upstairs with having a conversation with the 'Easter bunny'.

"You really shouldn't have!" You exclaimed hugging them.

"Are you kidding me? You are the princess of this tower and this is your first Easter with us! I told you I would be here for you and you deserve every bit of it." They smiled hugging you tightly back. Your heart swelled at the fact that they really cared for you.

"I love you, Phil."

"Love you too y/n."
