"What's your favorite scary movie Hailey?"

"Okay, very funny." I chuckled, Mallory curiously staring.

"Who is it? Put it on speaker." Evie leaned against the counter, propping her chin in her hands.

I nodded, doing as said.

"Answer the damn question Hailey, or I get to watch you die tonight."

Evie laughed, the guys listening in as well.

"Who is this? Some wannabe batman?" She snickered.

"Um okay, let's go with The Conjuring." I answered anyway, shrugging.

"What's the caller ID, Hailey?" Mallory worriedly asked.

"Unknown number." I mouthed.

"Hang up, then." She whispered, fear lacing her soft tone.

"No, let's mess around with this kid." Evie held a hand at her, smirking.

"It could be a madman." Lola nudged her.

"And it could also be Calum. He's the only one not present, idiot." She shot right back.

"And what if it isn't?" Mallory butted in, Evie's dark eyes flickering over to her.

"Then, Hailey's dead supposedly." Michael rose his eyebrows from the couch.

Mallory throws an apple from the fruit bowl at him, rolling her eyes.

"Now all you have to do is answer three questions. And your life will be spared."

"I'm not playing around, Calum. If it is you, this joke is getting quite boring." I chuckled.

"I'm right outside, Hailey. Now do you want to save your friends or not?"

Everyone silenced.

"Okay." I said.

Before they could continue, Mallory snatched the phone and slammed it back to the holder.

"Mal!" Evie groaned.

"You guys can't be serious! That person is insane, and it doesn't even sound like Calum at all." She rose her hands up. "Seriously."

The phone rings again, Mallory holding a hand to her mouth.

"Answer it." Evie nodded.

"Just let it go to voicemail." Lola shrugged.

Sighing, I answered it, pressing the cold surface to my ear.
