We're looking for an outfit to wear for Denise's baby shower next Saturday. They found out the gender, and their having a baby girl so we're also looking for gifts.

"Babe be careful standing up there", I said
"I gotta put the banner up here somehow"
"Just don't fall, be careful", I said chuckling
"I'll be careful baby", he said
"Put it a little higher"
He raised the banner a little then looked at me.
"Yeah that's good"
He nodded then put tape on it to hold it up.
"Thank you", I said as he was coming down from off the chair
"Your welcome", he said putting the chair back. "Is it almost 1?"
I looked at the clock. "Almost, it's 12:40"
"Alright"
The doorbell rang a couple minutes after, so I walked to the door rubbing my belly and opened it.
"Hey baby"
"Hey mom", I said hugging her
My mom, Wanda, lives in San Diego. This will be the first time I'm seeing her since a year ago. She has the busiest schedule at work. She works with different companies that review sketches of clothing before someone designs them.
"How are you feeling?", she asked
I closed the door and walked with her to the living room to sit down.
"I'm feeling okay", I said nodding
"Hey Ms.Keane", Shaun said hugging my mom
"Hey Shaun sweetie. How are you?"
"Good how are you?"
"I'm doing good. Where should I put my gift?"
"I'll take it to the table", Shaun said
My mom gave Shaun the bag then he walked out.
"You excited?", she asked
"Yess, I'm ready to meet my baby girl"
"I'm ready to meet my grandbaby"
"It's been so hard to sleep at night mama"
"I know, it's gonna be like that some nights"
"I know, I just gotta get used to it for the next 5 months"
"It'll be worth it", she said smiling
