never enough → josh william dun

Part 4.

It's a couple weeks later and I feel happy for once. Usually I start my day by having a cigarette but today I started my day by reading a text from Josh.

From: Jish❤️
Hey Av just wondering what time your coming around? Also hope you have a great morning!x

To: Jish❤️
Hey Josh, I'll be around in a bout an hour, and i hope you have a better morning😂X

Josh is my closest friend I've had in a long time and I am so great full for that. It's like the Angels above decided I had gone through enough shit and this is their way of saying sorry. I get out of bed and ditch my morning ciggy. I hop in the shower and do my usual shower ritual, Write some kind of lyric on the foggy glass, today was different, today I wrote one of their lyrics. I have had their song stuck in my head all night/morning and it makes me feel so happy.
I get out of the shower and put on my usual black ripped skinny jeans, Rolling Stones shirt, black fedora and black Doc Martins. I grab a banana and head out the door into my car which I love very much. (sarcasm)

As I'm sitting in the car humming to their song I ring Josh
"Hey Jish, I am coming up your street right now so you better be ready!" I say into the car
"Shit Ava, I'm just getting out of the shower!" He replies frantically
"JOSHUA I TOLD YOU TO BE READY IN AN HOUR!" I yell
"IM SORRY I WILL BR READY IN FIVE MINUTES!" He yells
"I'm here Josh" I say as I pull into his drive way.
He hangs up the phone call and as I begin to look up I see a shirtless, still half wet Josh running frantically out of the house and slamming the door behind him. I can't help but stare at his body. It's practically perfect. He gets in the car and shakes his head and begins to laugh
"Eewwww Josh! You got me all wet!" I say as I wipe his hair water off of me.
"Your not the first girl to say that to me" he says wiggling his eyebrows and chuckling.
I punch him in the arm as hard as I can and he yelps
"That's no way to pick up a lady Jishwa" I say to him as I'm backing out of the drive way.
"Really?" He says "I guess I've been doing it wrong all along. No wonder why Ty got a girlfriend before me" he says with a sarcastic thinking expression on his face. I laugh and he begins to put his shirt on. I watch him out the corner of my eye. His back muscles flex as well as his biceps.
"You know it's rude to stare" says Josh with a smirk on his face
"I-uh-I wasn't staring" I manage to stutter out as I begin to turn red.

We get to school and Josh jumps out of the car. I look in the mirror and fix myself up.
"Are you going to get out or just sit there all day?" Josh asks
"Dude, I'm getting there" I say with a smile.
I'm not used to walking into school with a friend. It feels nice, like I have some sort of protection, not that I need it but it's feels good to know that someone really cares about me
"Wait!" I say to Josh as we're about to walk into school.
"What?" Asks Josh
"I want you to know that when we walk in there I am going to get some really hurtful comments said about me, but I don't want you to say or do anything." I say Josh as I look him in the eyes.
"WHAT!" Josh says with anger in his eyes. " I'm obviously going to do something Ava. I'm not going to just sit and watch you get bullied by some low life people who have nothing better to do than pick on you!" He says " your my best fren Ava I'm not going to let that Happen!" He says as he intertwines his fingers into mine. My face turns red but I manage to get it back to normal before we walk in.

I can hear them. The whispers, the nasty comments but to know that Josh is right there next to me makes them all fade away into nothing.
"Oh my god who is that?!"
"Is that her boyfriend"
"Is he new?"
As we get to our lockers which are right next to eachothers, Sophia approaches us.
"Well, well, well look what the cat dragged in. A dead rat and a beautiful bird she says looking at me and then Josh.
" you shouldn't be hanging around her, she's a nobody. You should be hanging around us, the everybody's" she's says to Josh and her little followers laugh
"Now why the fuck would I want to hang out with someone as stuck up and skanky as you when I can have this beautiful honest girl?" Says Josh with a smile Whilst looking down at me.
I look up at him and start turning red. Everything he does has an effect on me and I can't tell if it's good or bad.
"Now if you excuse us, me and my beautiful best friend are going to roll call!" Says Josh as he drags me away with him

As we approached our roll call room I looked at Josh.
"thank you Jish" I say looking down in my small voice
"Anything for you" says Josh
"Hey" he says lifting up my head "How about we do something tonight, just me and you?" He says
"That would be great" I say smiling

All day I couldn't stop thinking about what is going to be the best night of my life. The first night I won't be all alone. The first night I will be loved...
