{Josh POV}I get in the car and blast the radio hoping that it will tune out all my thoughts but all it does is makes me angry because, of course, it is a playlist that Ava made me. I can't believe this! After all we've been through and she's just leaving me. I know it's not her fault, It's her stupid fucking father's fault. I'm not going to leave her, she means so much to me. I mean of course i've had other girlfriends but Ava is different, I can see a future with her. I love her.
I arrive at Tylers house and I knock on the door. I know he would be awake because he has insomnia and although he has pills they don't work. He just tells Jenna that they do work so she won't worry about him. Not long after I knock, my best friend appears at the door. He must see how broken I look because his expression drops and he invites me in.
"Hey man, how are you doing?" Ty says.
"Yeah not the best" I say with a pathetic chuckle
"Josh, what happened?" Asks my best friend
"She's moving, She's leaving me Ty and I don't know what to do" I say as a tear makes its way down my cheek.
"Man, thats brutal. But do you want me to be honest with you." Says Tyler
"Yeah" I say wiping away my tears
"Fight for her man, don't let her go. If you love her dude then don't let anyone get in your way." Says Ty
"Thanks dude, I will" I say with a small smile
Ty offers for me to stay and play Mario Kart with him but I object and tell him that Ava is waiting for me back at home. He understands, we hug and then I leave, thanking him for the advice.
I get home and see Av sitting on the couch cross legged
"Hey beautiful, i'm back"
"Josh, I think we should end us" She said. Those seven words piercing me straight through the heart.
"W-what! No fucking way! I am not leaving you Ava! We have plans! I fucking love you!" I say as tears run down my face
"If we stay together it's just going to make it harder for me to leave and when I'm in Colorado, I won't be able to stop thinking about you!" She says as she cries
"Ava please think this through, you're making a mistake" I say holding onto her hands
"No Josh, this is whats best for us. I love you. I always will, okay" She say softly
"So this is it. This is the end of us." I say crying
"No, It's not. I'm coming back for you Josh." She says. she lets go of my hands. "I think you should leave now Josh." She says looking at the ground.
"I-i, I love you." I say before grabbing her and kissing her. I wanted this moment to last forever, I never wanted to let her go. The smell of her hair and the feeling of her soft lips against mine will be a hard memory to forget. We finally separated.
"Can we just have one promise." I ask her before I leave
"Yeah, what is it?" She asks
"No sex with other people while we're apart" I say grabbing her hands
"Of course" She says with a small smile
I have my duffel bag and as I am walking out the door I hear Ava yell my name
"I love you Josh, don't forget me" She says softly
"How could I" I say and then I walk out the door.
And that night I woke up multiple times because I didn't have her sleeping peacefully next to me.
