Emmi's pov
Rolling my eyes, I crumbled up the piece of paper and threw it behind me.
"This is so stupid." I muttered.
I tried the problem again, but failed.
"I hate this." I slammed my fist on the desk as Maya came in, she was home for the weekend from her traveling artist thing that I never listened to her talk about.
"Chill." she told me and I rolled my eyes.
"How can I!?" I asked. "Seventh grade is harder than you think!"
"Well be prepared little sis," she chuckled. "It gets harder."
"Wow that's a lot of help!" I said sarcastically and rolled my eyes.
"I try." she smiled and grabbed her bag. "Wanna ditch the homework and go to Topanga's?"
"Sure." I shrugged, not caring about the school work.
We both climbed out of our window and walked down the street to Topanga's.
All the memories flooded back into my mind.
Running away
Kermit
Hospital trips
The friends
The family
I looked up at Maya and smiled.
"What?" she asked and furrowed her eyebrows at me.
I shook my head, still smiling, "Nothing."
"You're weird." she rolled her eyes and we went in.
Riley, Lucas, and Farkle were already there, all in their early twenties.
Maya took her normal spot by Riley and sat on Maya's lap.
"This was easier when you were a kid." she told me.
"You think this is easy for me?" I asked and they laughed.
Maya and Lucas are engaged and Riley and Farkle are dating, but they still sit in the normal spots.
Nothing has changed.
Ever since I've found My Half Sister.
