The first day of school was what I dreaded the most. Sure it was exciting to get to see my friends again but the thought of been through torture for another year just wasn't appealing.

"Y/N, have you got your sport gear?" My older sister called from her bedroom. I never expected her to get out of bed and help me with school but it seemed as if she felt like she owed it to me after our parents died. But I think the saddest part about their death is that I never shed a tear for them. They were never the parents I had always dreamed of.

Alex, my sister had always been my mother, my father and my best friend all in one. I couldn't help but feel so attached to her in the 14 years I had spent with her.

I could soon hear her footsteps and soon she appeared at the doorstep of my bedroom with $5 in hand and a silky pink robe wrapped around her. She walked over and placed it in my wallet, giving me a kiss on the forehead.

"Just in case doll face!" She called out after leaving my room. I quickly snatched out my journal and began to write a few words for my morning run.

Fist day back and I'm dreading it already. Soon enough I'll be back in those dull classrooms with those annoying people in my class. And to believe I've spent over 10 years with some of these people is ridiculous! It's a wonder I survived.
Until later, ciao.

I ran out of the house after thanking Alex and giving a hug before leaving. I managed to catch my bus on time as usual and sat in the middle row, waiting for my best friend Georgia to come on. After what felt like hours, which in reality was less than 5 minutes, I recognised her bouncy locks making her way towards me. A huge smile plastered across her face and I jumped to my feet, embracing her in a long awaited hug.

"Georgia! I've missed you so much! How was your holiday to Japan?" I beamed in excitement, pulling her down to sit down. Her eyes trailed behind and mine followed but that was soon when I saw what must be he most gorgeous boy I had ever seen in a place like Aveley Swan.

"Harry! Come here you slow coach. Geez what are you like 60?!" She groaned as he rolled his eyes and sat next to us on the other side. He popped the headphone out of his ear and licked his plump bottom lip, finally turning to look at me. I couldn't help but choke at his beautiful eyes and his stunning features.

He sent a little smile my way and turned to look at Georgia who clearly was finding this amusing.

"Y/N, this is my bratty cousin Harry. Harry, this is my best friend I've been telling you about Y/N." She introduced us, quickly focusing her attention to her phone.

"Hello Y/N," he spoke lowly. I was shocked to hear his voice this deep and the fact that he clearly had a British accent intrigued me even more. No boy in my grade has even remotely hit puberty. "Well I'll have to admit Georgia, she's a perfect resemblance to how you described her."

"Told you she was pretty!" She beamed, turning to look at me as I covered my blush with my hair. "Ew, you're blushing. Don't tell me you have a thing for Harry. He's so ugly."

It didn't surprise me that she would say something like this. This was and had always been Georgia but sometimes I could kill a bitch for the way she run her mouth. Harry obviously had to go and laugh, making it much more embarrassing for me.

"Well cousin, this is the greatest school in America!" Georgia sarcastically remarked, earning a slap on the arm from me. We showed Harry to his locker and waited for him to gather his things before going towards mine. After unlocking the combination, I began to get my things out but a squeal from Georgia caught me off guard as I dropped my things.

"Sorry Y/N, but I've gotta go! I forgot something for Miss Earl. You can show Harry around and become distant lovers. Love you, Ciao!" She hugged me quickly before running off, her skirt bouncing up and down as she did.

I turned to look Harry who was already staring at me with an amused expression. "She's still playing match maker huh?"

"Ha," I scoffed. "Since the 3rd grade when she tried to match me with her brother who is 4 years older than me."

"Well, when we were 10, she came down to England and tried to pair me with a 14 year old boy." His laugh was beyond beautiful but when I remembered he said Boy, I widened my eyes.

"So you're...."

"100% completely straight love, relax." He chuckled. I mentally sighed a breath of relief and laughed along with him. For someone who is was what, 14 he seems awfully mature for his age.

"How old are you Harry?"

"15, you?"

"14."

Our classes were not anything what I was expecting. The entire population of the girls were gawking at him and I couldn't blame him for being so attractive at 15 but I also couldn't help feel slightly jealous as he was talking to Charlotte and her friends. It was clear as day he would most likely end up with her by the end of the week and I had absolutely no chance.

"Are you alright love?" He placed his warm hand on back and looked down at me since his tower clearly over powered mine.

"Yeah I'm great." I mumbled, strolling away from him but obviously he would catch up with his long strides.

"You don't look great. Did I say something..."

"Be careful of Charlotte, she may be pretty and all but she's a player and she's not a virgin." I blurted out, instantly feeling the need to throw so much shade at her. He was silent for a few seconds, probably not even have heard a thing I had said.

"She's no where near as beautiful as you are Y/N." He said so casually, as if he'd done this a million times or we had known each other for years.

I stopped dead in my tracks and after he realised I wasn't by his side, he stopped too. "What...did you...say?"

"What? That you are beautiful?" He cocked his eyebrow, pulling his bag further up his shoulder. "Don't tell me no one has ever told you that. I thought you would be used to hearing it."

"Uh...no. Besides Georgia and a couple of 4th grade boys, you're the first." I nervously laughed. He gave him a wide grin and walked back towards me, his hand feeling foreign to me when he entwined our fingers. I almost backed away because I was nervous but then if I did, he might think I wasn't interested which i was ofcourse.

"Well Y/N, I usually wait a few weeks to get to know someone but clearly I have some stiff competition with the those 4th graders so I better not waste any time." He dramatically sighed, bringing our joined hands uo to swing. "Unless ofcourse you're not interested and I've made a fool out of myself by trying to ask you out."

"You want to ask me out?"

"Oh fine Y/N," he playfully rolled his eyes. "Stop begging, I'll go out with you. Goodness."

I couldn't help but burst into laughter at his sense of humour. I never took him as the type to be funny but clearly he had it all. He is sweet, charming, funny, hella good looking and much more I couldn't go into detail about.

"You have a great laugh. So what do you say? Want to go get some ice-cream with me after school? My treat!" He beamed, twirling me around in his arm. Soft giggles escaped as we finally made our way into the cafeteria.

"Y-yeah, that sound great actually."
