Country of Eskon - Japanese Military Base

Hinata

Keep my nose out what he what he does with his soldiers, huh?

He practically told me to mind my own damn business in the rudest way he could!

I don't mind if he said, 'hey, let me take care of my soldiers,' or something like that.

But Naruto practically demanded me to mind my own business! I don't do well with authority! I hate it! I hate it! I hate it!

Cops come into the emergency room sometimes and demands certain personal information about patients during an operation. 99% of the time I raise my scalpel and threaten them that I'll spread the disease the patient has onto them.

The real question is, however, I get annoyed most the time not angry. I'm angry now...

Is it because Naruto still has so much power over me even after ten years? Is that it?

"Doctor?" The British English cut me back into reality. I was currently giving a free check up to one of the locals, a pregnant woman in her mid-twenties with beautiful light blonde hair and a small smile that has been on her face ever since she answered.

What was I prescribing her again?

That's right!

"I need you to take this," I wrote the name quickly and passed it to her, "Twice a day after a meal for the next two weeks in order to provide the nutrients necessary to nurse it. Come back in in about a week for an ultrasound to make sure the baby's development is coming along well."

Her yellow sundress were in rags and so were the two dozen other patients I've been seeing in the past three hours. I smiled at her sympathetically as she thanked me in tears. She got up and headed out of my temporary physician office to head towards the pharmacy where it is ran by Ino and a few other medics.

I looked at her chart once more and scribbled a few notes down. I truly do hope her pregnancy goes well. According to her chart, she became pregnant about four months ago because she was raped when coming home from the town's grocery shop alone literally in broad daylight.

I've seen other charts where men had three bullets in their legs or a nasty scar on their face from a knife. Crimes that are usually investigated closely in Japan and other countries; completely ignored here.

It was my first day and I learned in my few years of being a doctor to never look at the wound of a patient then judge who they are as a person. It's something I made sure stuck in Kazuki's and Mina's heads when they were training as interns.

Two soft knocks sounded on my door as I completed the soon-to-be-mother's chart.

I was expecting Mina, who was helping me today as an assistant, to walk through with the next patient but instead it was someone who I literally did not expect to have any alone time with whatsoever.

"W-what are you -"

He cut me off, "You are supposed to be making rounds with us in town every single morning, Leader."

That was one of the requirements! Dammit!

"I apologize if I missed it, Deputy," the label sounding a little weird on my tongue. "I might still be on a jet lag."

"You didn't miss it, though," is he actually amused?

"I didn't?" I raised an eyebrow.

He shook his head, "We're actually going right now. Naruto knew it was your first day in a foreign country and everything so instead of sunrise, we're going at noon which is in ten minutes."
