Five minutes later hairs down I grab a pair of Nike leggings and my nikes along with an Adidas sweatshirt because that makes sense
I meet maddie downstairs as she's finishes the box of cinnamon toast crunch
"Your annoying" I comment walking by to grab an apple

Our argument gets interrupted by the sound of Josh's car horn
"Guess he's driving today" maddie comments walking past me to grab her backpack and out the door
When I get out there Josh and maddie are arguing through the rolled down window

I roll my eyes and mouth help before getting in the passenger side
Chillin in the backseat is Paige Chloe and maddie
"Are kendall and Kalani meeting us at school" maddie asks
"Yeah Josh said no room cus we have to take hot stuff to school"
"What the hell Josh" I interrupt the older girls conversation
"Your so stupid"
"I think the dare was a pretty smart idea" he replies
"yeah me too" maddie cuts in

"Maddie your still ugly I don't need my phone to show your baby pictures"

Josh pulls up and the girls climb out the back and Josh makes me wait for him so he can open the door for me he clutches my arm and walks me inside to my locker

Gossip queen brynn is sadly my best friend and she'll be thinking of a ship name immediately
"MACKENZIE FRANCES ZIEGLER" she shouts
"YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND?" She shouts louder

"IS THAT WHY YOU DIDNT ANSWER MY TEXTS LAST NIGHT"
She's pissed
"BRYNN IF YOU WOULD SHUT UP I CAN EXPLAIN" I whisper shout
Brynn lowers her voice thank the heavens "what is there to explain" she asks crossing her arms
"So somehow I got stuck riding home with this bundle of joy" she rolls her eyes
"Brynn it's sarcasm"
"Anyways he dared me to go a month without my phone and i accepted because I had too"
"You accepted what is wrong with you Mackenzie"
"A lot of things but I never turn down dares... Ever"
"Curse reputations" she mumbles

"You poor child" brynn wraps me in a hug as Josh stands awkwardly with his hands stuffed in his pockets leaning against the locker next to mine
"And your here because" kendall asks walking up to her locker which is beside mine
"Oh um bye" Josh mumbles leaving
I burst into laughter
"What" brynn asks
"I just hate him so much"
"Why he seems nice"
"Nice? NICE? He's my sisters best friends brother who dared me to go a month without mah phone I hate his guts"

We go through our classes like normal and as I'm walking to the parking lot of course this happens
"Mall again" maddie mumbles shoving me towards Josh's car on her way to Brooke's
"Can I like go to the mall with you" I ask but she's already gone
"NO" she shouts over her shoulder
"UGH" I scream walking to Josh's car
"Hey hot stuff" Josh greets jumping off his hood and getting into his car
"Yo" I reply climbing in the passengers seat
"How's life without your cellular phone"
"Josh how old are you"

"Then don't ever say cellular phone again"
"Okay" he says pulling my phone out of his bag his sweaty gym back
I clutch the edges of the seat
"Drive" I mumble
He sticks the key into the ignition smirking and drives off
