Katherine

You can do this!

You can do this!

You can do this!

I kept telling myself.

I looked at myself in the mirror one last time, and took a deep breath.

This is my chance to finally fulfill my promise to my mom.

I looked at my mother's picture and ran my fingers across her photo.

"This is it, mama," I said.

I took one last deep breath before leaving to meet with Dylan.

Once I got to the restaurant, I looked at the clock and saw that I still had five minutes.

I blew out a bit breath.

I don't know why I'm so nervous, but I am. I don't know hat to expect from meeting the brother of the woman who saved me and my mother.

A lot of questions were running through my head.

How can I tell Dylan who I am? How I explain it to him?

Am I doing the right thing by bringing up the past?

Will she recognize me?

Will she hate my mother once she finds out the truth?

I looked back at the time. Two minutes.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

I took my keys out of the ignition, grabbed my purse and climbed out of our catering service car, and walked to the restaurant.

A man opened the door for me.

A host was there to greet me.

"Hi. I'm Katherine West. I'm..."

"Yes. Of course. Mr. Anastasi is waiting for you," she said with a smile. "Please follow me."

I nodded and followed her.

I could hear my heart beating so loud with every step I took.

Then there he was, and my breath was suddenly knocked out of me.

He looked up from his phone as he heard us approach. He stood up then smiled.

I swallowed hard.

His pictures doesn't do him any justice. He was easily the most gorgeous man I have ever seen.

He was tall and masculine. You could tell that he was built despite the business suit he was wearing, which fit him well, mind you. I've never seen anyone looked this good in a suit. And his eyes, don't even get me started on his eyes. And his smile, he had a smile that could melt Antarctica.

As I got closer, I felt weaker and weaker in the knees.

My god, can anyone actually be this gorgeous? I thought to myself.

He was all hard, masculine features. He had a clean-shaven face, a sinfully long, dark lashes, that women would die for to have, and had no business being on his stunning male face. He had dark hair, and golden eyes that can hypnotize anyone who stares into them.
