Katherine

"Kathe..." I heard Dylan say, then the line went dead.

"You're a sick son of a bitch! When they find you, you're going to wish you were dead!" I said, before spitting on his face.

He backhands me again, but this time, I didn't flinch. I simply glared at him.

I won't let him break me.

I have to keep fighting. Dylan will find me. I know he will.

I'll be waiting for him.

Lia

"Tell me honestly, Nate... how bad is it?" I asked my husband.

I looked over at Dylan who ha finally fallen asleep after a horrifying call from Pedro Sanchez.

I can't even begin to imagine how he must be feeling right now.

"We'll find her," he said, before placing a gentle kiss on my forehead.

"He can't lose her Nate," I said, as tears welled in my eyes. "He just can't. He won't survive it."

He nodded.  "I know."

I nodded, as tears escapes my eyes.

Nate pulled me into his arms. "We'll find her."

"I keep thinking of what he must be doing to her and I..."

"Shh... Don't. Don't think like that."

I nodded against him. "The men that Dave called for help. Are they the same people who..." I trailed off.

Nate's lips thinned as concern and anger flickered in his eyes.

He nodded.

"This will cost Dave won't it?" I asked.

"Not if we find her first without them," was all he said.

"Dave loves my sister," I said.

Nate chuckled. "I know."

"If..."

Nate shook his head. "We won't let them."

I nodded.

"I've got something," Allan said.

We pulled apart and Nate gave me a quick kiss before looking at what Allan has found.

I sighed and prayed.

Dear god, please let us all be safe.

I walked into the kitchen and found Dave sitting in the computer.

"Hey," I said.

He looked up and gave me a smile. "Hey."

"Do you have a minute?" I asked.

He nodded. "Sure. What's up?"

"I just wanted to thank you," I said.

"Thank me? For what?"

"For sacrificing your feelings for my sister to keep her safe, 2 years ago," I said. "And for putting your life on the line for Dylan and Katherine."

He frowned and shook his head, trying to deny what he did for my sister.  "I..."

"Don't deny it. I know about what you've done to keep Katie safe."

His lips thinned. "How much do you know?"

I shrugged. "Enough."

I walked over to him and I hugged as fresh new tears welled in my eyes.

I love Dave like a brother. He has done so much for me and our family.
