Just do it.

You can do it.

I chanted those words over and over in my head, as my thumb lingered over the name on my phone.

I closed my eyes and blew out a breath.

"Im doing the right thing," I said out loud.  Before I could change my mind I tapped on the name on my screen.

After a couple of rings, he answered.

"I need your help," I said.

"Dylan, I'm losing my mind. I need to get out... Do something. Anything."

"Red, it's not safe," Dylan started to sag and I glared at him.

"You have men surrounding us, what harm can get to us at the mall? It's a public space. Please, Dyl. I just need to see something else other than the four walls of every corner of this place," I said.

Dylan sighed.

"Dyl... please," I said again.

"One hour," he said sternly.

I smiled and nodded. "Ok. One hour," I agreed.

He smiled as she shook his head.

I swallowed hard and forced a big smile.

Forgive me, Dyl. I'm sorry.

Dylan

"Fuck!" Dave cursed as I walked in the kitchen.

"Everything okay?" I asked.

"Fine," he grunted.

I frowned and didn't but his response for one second.

"What's going on between you and my sister?" I asked.

He turned to look at me with a scowl on his face.

"Nothing's going on," he said brusquely.

"Come on, Dave, you didn't honestly think we were all blind and stupid," I smirked.

"She's driving me fucking crazy. I swear she's determined to drive me to an early grave."

"Why are you not doing something about it then?" I asked.

"You're sister is much too young. I'm..."

"What? Nine years older? So what?"

"Ten," he grumbled.

"Who gives a shit?"

He looked at me in surprise. "Why are not threatening me with bodily harm?" He asked.

"I'm getting there."

He snorted.

"Dave, you're family. We've known you for years. You're a good man. I know that you'll take care of my sister, and I don't want you to promise me not to hurt her, because we know that, that's bullshit. No one can promise that. What I need you to promise me is that, you will love, honour, respect, and cherish her. You do those things and we won't have any problems," I said.
