The firework show starts and Sky leans against me. I smile down at her, but instead of a smile, I see tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Hey, what's wrong kiddo?" I sit her up.

She wipes a tear and looks up at me with the saddest little face.

"Mommy and Daddy died."

Avery's POV

"What?" I sit up and look at her.

"Mommy and Daddy died." Another tear rolls down her cheek.

"Dad!" I pick up Sky and hand her to Madi as I run to Dad.

"What?" He stops vlogging me.

"Sky's Mom and Dad died. Ms. Elly." I whisper in his ear.

"Oh...." He pauses, probably thinking about what to do.

I glance over at Madi who is holding Sky who is crying.

"Okay, so I'm going to call your Mom. You wait over there." He directs me towards the other girls.

"Okay." I walk over to them.

I hope he has a good plan.

Missy's POV

"Goodnight buddy." I lay Finley in his crib and kiss his forehead before leaving his room and shutting his door.

As soon as the door closes, my phone starts ringing. I pull it out of my pocket and answer it when I see Bryan's icon pop up.

"Hey. What's up?"

"Hey, I have to talk with you about something." He replies, concerning me.

"Yes?" I ask him, nervous to hear what he's about to say.

"Sky's parents are dead." His voice trails off.

I stand in silence until I finally think of a plan.

"I'll call you back in a few minutes. I have a plan." I tell him, thinking of my idea.

"Okay." He hangs up.

Immediately after he hangs up I go into my contacts and start calling somebody else.

I hope they agree.

Jared's POV

"Jackson, come back!" I laugh as I chase my little boy around the living room.

"Nooooooo!" Jackson runs faster.

Just then, my phone vibrates in my back pocket. I stop running and grab my phone and answer it.

"Hello?"

"Hi Jared." A female voice answers.

"Hey Missy!" I yell into the phone, earning a laugh from the other end.

"I kind of have another big favor to ask you." She sounds nervous as she speaks.

"I'm listening."

"So, one of Avery's friend's parents died, and she is little and needs a home. Do you think you and Ellie could possibly, well... adopt her? Only if you want to." Missy explains to me.

"Yeah, I'll talk to Ellie." I tell her, "I'll call you back."

"Okay. Thanks Jared." She hangs up.

I walk upstairs into our room and sit on the bed next to Ellie.

"Hey El. Missy called." I start the conversation.

"Oh yeah? What'd she want?" She smiles.

"Okay, so one of Avery's friends is little and her parents died and she needs a home. Missy asked us if we would adopt her if we wanted to." I tell everything to Ellie.

"Wait, a girl?" She asks me.

"Yeah." I assure her.

"I would love to! I always wanted a girl! Call her back! Wait- are you okay with it?" She says excitedly, a huge grin covering her face.

"I most definitely agree." I smile, pulling her into a tight hug.

After we get out of our hug, I dial Missy's number.

"That was quick Jared." She answers right away.

"Yeah, are you ready?" I smirk.

"Yes." She replies nervously.

"We're going to have a little girl!" I yell loudly.

"What? That's amazing! Thank you guys so much!" Missy squeals back, "I've got to call Bryan back, but I'll call Ellie tomorrow to talk about it more."

"Okay, bye Missy!" I hang up.

I smile at Ellie, "Let's get the boys to bed."

She nods and gets up from her spot.

"Jackson, time for bed bud." Ellie walks into the boys' room, starting to get Jackson ready while I do the same with Calvin.

"Gabriel, come get ready for bed." I yell downstairs.

"Okay Dad!"
