Chapter 32

"My house? It can't be. Who would be there doing this?" I asked, looking over Sara's shoulder at the computer.

"There could be many people. They don't have to live there to send the email. Do you have a basement, maybe?" Will asked.

"No, it's only the two floors."

"This is so confusing. Why would they use her address?" Sara asked.

"Do you think it's just to throw us off incase they knew we would find something?" I asked.

"Possibly, but that's not easy to do. I have off work tomorrow and I'll come by with you and Will to your house. I'll have a look around to see if anything was placed to revert the address."

"But Harry's trial starts again tomorrow." I reminded them.

"We'll head over early, then over to courthouse." Will told us.

I had no idea how things would go tomorrow. Harry said things are looking up but not to get my hopes up. His possibilities are endless. He could very well be put away but if he's telling the truth like I know he is, he'll be home within days.

As for these emails and the meeting with that man, I'll keep them to myself until after tomorrow. I want all his focus on getting out of there and back home with his family and me. He doesn't need this on his plate, and I'm sure that Will, Sara, and I all have it covered.

"What happens when we find whatever you were talking about before?" I asked Sara, breaking her out of her conversation with Will.

"Well if this guy didn't follow up with his plan of intending for us to know the email came from your house, then I can easily check to see who's name the device is in. If not I'll check to see if he hooked it up to a computer without a fire wall." She smiled.

She definitely knew what she was doing.

"Rae, wake up."

"Leave me alone." I grumbled, shoving my head into my pillow.

"Well you're not a morning person."

"Will, why are you wake me up at five in morning?" I asked, glancing at the clock on the nightstand.

"Well Harry's trial is at eight. It takes an hour to get to your house. Give or take an hour to find what Sara needs, and an hour to get to the courthouse. Now go get ready." He laughed.

I huffed in response. Groaning I got up from the bed to take a quick shower, and get ready to go. My shower was quick, being that Will had knocked on my door every two minutes telling me to hurry up, or he'll drag me out.

I quickly put on my clothes and ran out the door before Will came back in. The house was empty so I assumed they were out in the car. Sara was sitting in the passenger side when I climbed in. But will was nowhere to be found.

"Where's mister 'we have to be on time'?" I laughed.

"Probably in the bathroom fixing his hair." She giggled.

Not ten seconds later, Will came stumbling out of the door. He ended up tripping on his own two feet and falling face first to the ground. He quickly got up, acting if nothing happened. Sara and I were in hysterics watching Will quickly stumble into the car.

"Having a bit of trouble there, William?" I laughed.

"Funny. I was busy looking for you because I knew you would be the last one out."

"And I wasn't the last one out. It was you."

"Okay, children. Let's stop arguing and get going before we're late." Sara tried to sound stern but the amusement in her voice told me she thought it was funny.

The ride to my house seemed to take forever. All I wanted to do was find out what is happening and even be able to get Harry out of the there.

Sara said she would met us at the courthouse if we don't find anything within our set hour time slot Will provided us. We would spend the time looking whilst my dad was asleep so maybe he wouldn't suspect anything. I'm not sure how we're supposed to explain to him when he sees us, but I'm hoping Will has a plan.

"We'll check around outside, and see if we find anything?" Sara instructed hoping out of the car.

"I could go inside too and look around. But I'm not sure what I'll be looking for.."

"Look for anything that's technically advanced, and something you don't recall seeing in your house. I'll come in and check after I'm done out here."

I nodded and headed inside. Thankfully everything looked the same. I was slightly worried that something may have happened after I left yesterday.

When I walked into the kitchen, I found my dad leaning against the counter top, slipping his hot drink.

"Hey, what are you doing here? Thought you going with Will's family." He causally asked.

"Well...we were, but Will may be called up to the stand today. And we were all going to leave after." I lied.

"Oh, I wasn't informed he would be going up today."

"It was short notice, and it may not happen."

"Well, I'll be on my way. Want to be there early. I'll see you later, Rae. Love you." My dad kissed the top of my head and left out the door, grabbing his suitcase.

I quickly started searching the house. I started in the living room, practically throwing items out of my my way. I checked under the couch, in the nightstand, and every other place it could have been.

Thirty minutes later, and to no anvil, I found nothing. Sara informed she couldn't find anything, and I was losing hope. It has to be here. I let out an exaggerated sign plopping onto the couch. Thinking long and hard about where the help this thing could be. The last email was sent from here. Ilooked around the room once more. He took the picture from the window. I looked up at the window where the picture was taken, and to my surprise, a small black object glistened in the upper corner. I got up and reached for it. It couldn't have been any bigger than a box for a ring.

"Hey, Sara?" I called.

"Yeah?" She called from outside.

"You may want to come and look at this.."

Within seconds, Sara was in front of me.

"Where did you find this?" She asked.

"The window."

"You get the prize for today, because this is exactly what we were looking for." She smiled.

We found it.

"Now what?" I asked.

"Well, we have to get going, if you want to see Harry before he goes out." Will interjected.

We all agreed to leave now, and Sara would look at it until the trial started.

Hopefully this will give us answers. I'm not sure where we'll go from here. But now that we have it, my focus is on Harry and winning. Not that he hadn't been focus at all. If Harry wins this case, he'll be free. This won't hold him back anymore, and he can take me on a real date instead of seeing each other through bars.

When we arrived at the courthouse, we were about thirty minutes early. Sara said she would stay in the car and check out the device with her equipment.

I asked the guard when Harry would be here, but he only replied with 'that's family information only'. We explained that I'm his girlfriend and Will is his brother. But he was still cautious to let us in.

"Sir, I would like to see my brother." Will sternly stated.

"He isn't supposed to see anyone. Especially that one." He pointed to me.

"And why is that?" I asked.

"Specially requested by Mr Hampton."

"He's my boyfriend! At least let me wish him good luck or something. Don't you have heart?"

"I shouldn't be doing this.." The man mumbled.

He turned around, and opened a door that led to a small corridor.

"Last door on the left."

We thanked him, and headed down the path. Will knocked on the door, waiting for someone to answer. We heard rustling behind the door, before a large man opened it. He was about twice my size and very round.

"I-um, I was looking for Harry." I studdered.

"Harry, I believe you have an attractive young bird here to see you." The man called.

Soon, Harry came from around the man, with a huge smile on his face.

"Hey, Babe." He smirked.

"Hi, Harry." I smiled.

"I'd hug you, but I'm a little bound." He chuckled.

I quickly ran up to him, wrapping my arms around his neck, and giving him a quick kiss. I couldn't let him go. All I wanted was for him to hug me back, but the handcuffs wouldn't let him.

"Can we get the handcuffs off him?" Will shouted to the police across the room.

They looked weary for a second, but saw my pleading eyes, and complied. As soon as the cuffs were released, Harry didn't waste a second engulfing me into a hug. His arms wrapped around my neck, and my face pulled into his chest. He repeatedly kissed the top of my head, whispering soft words into my hair.

"I miss this so much." He murmured.

"I do too. But when you win today, everything will be okay again, and you won't have to worry about this again." I smiled, peering up at him.

"Rae...you know there's a possibility I won't w-"

"Shut up. If you keep thinking that, you will be put away." I cut him off.

"I just don't want to get your hopes up, for them to be let down, Baby." He whispered against my forehead.

"I'm just staying positive."

"I know you are, and it helps a lot."

We stayed standing the hug for a few more minutes. Just enjoying the presence of each other.

Harry was told he had to go over some aspects of the trial. What he had to say and what not to say. He pulled me onto his lap, as we sat and listened. I held onto his hands, playing his his large, rough fingers. They were interesting. I move down his arms, examining his tattoos as I went. But the large red and cut marks on his wrist, worried me. They must be from the handcuffs. I gently rubbed the red marks, attracting Harry's attention. He gave me a small smile and pushed my hands away, telling me to leave it. I tucked my head into his neck as he rubbed small shapes onto my lower back. And I instantly felt like we were the only two in the room.

"Harry, time to get going. The judge will be out in ten minutes. They need to go." A man interrupted us.

Harry looked down at me sympathetically, before lifting me up.

"I'll see you out there, Babe." He smiled.

"I'll look for you." I winked.

He pulled me into one last kiss, cupping my face in his hands. I kissed back, resting my hands on his strong chest.

"Let's go, Styles." The man called.

Harry was taken by his wrist, and locked back in the handcuffs. By the wince he let out when the man pulled him away, I could tell they were hurting him.

Will came over and pulled me into a hug. He said we should start heading out to the courtroom if we want to get in before they close the doors. He led me out to the room, where there were many people waiting to witness this trial. I saw Sara sitting right behind the defendant table playing on phone. We quickly walked over to her, taking our seats before the judge walked out.

Aiden and my father walked out, soon after. Followed by Harry and Jack. All we did was smile at each other. Keeping our contact limited. The same judge as the trial before came out, and we all stood in respect.

"Mr Clarke, who are you calling first to the stand?" The judge asked.

"We'd like to call Harry Styles to the stand please." My father asked.

Harry took his oath, and sat at the stand next to the judge.

"So, Harry, I'd like to ask you a few questions about your past. Not deep into your childhood, just a few years back or so. Will that be alright?" He asked both towards Harry and the judge.

She gave a curt nod, telling him to continue.

"Your job, would you consider it dangerous and against the law?"

"Yes, it is dangerous, but not all of it is against the law." Harry responded.

"Then be frank with me here, you've killed someone before, yes? Be honest. It won't be held against you later on."

"Yes, I have."

"Intensionally?"

"Yes, by orders."

"Who's orders?" My dad asked already knowing the answers.

"Aiden's"

"Very well. So you have no problem hurting someone for a job, am I correct."

"Yes."

"But it says here on a lost record that you have intensionally hurt someone, but not for a job. About two years ago, a police record was claimed about a young boy and girl found in an abandoned house up north. Both were found naked. The girl was heard crying helplessly, by a neighbour. It says that the girl filed rape, but did not prosecute fully, leaving the case close with breaking and entering. Did you rape that girl, and threaten her to take back the charges?"

Rape?

"Objectoion! This has nothing to do with the matter at hands your Honour." Jack called.

"Oh it has everything to do with it. Would you want this, murder, pyschopath, and rapist out on the streets?" My dad yelled towards Jack.

"Enough!" The judge called.

"Would you care to make a statement Mr Styles?" She asked.

"I-I never raped anyone! That wasn't me! I was framed and told I would be dead if I didn't go to this house! I didn't know that girl was going to be there! She seemed more than willing to just throw herself at me. She told me if I didn't do it, my family wouldn't be alive in the morning. I swear I didn't rape her. I would never do that." He looked at me as if he had to explain himself towards me.

"Was Aiden the one to tell you to go to that house?" My dad asked.

"Yes."

"For?"

"Drugs."

"If it was drugs why would he make you sleep with a girl?"

"He has always threatened me to do things to my family if I don't do as he says. He threatens me because he knows I'm strong enough to take him and win. The girl was part of another dealer bond, and Aiden didn't want to be killed for played around with the dealers little sister, so he planned for me to get caught, and take the blame. So I did. Because I have something to live for, and he has nothing. If I were to ever overtake him, he'd he a goner. So he threatens me, and makes me take the blame to keep me in check. And I'd do anything to keep my family safe from my stupid mistakes."

The room was quiet. I think they almost believe him. I almost fell out of my chair when my dad called out the possible action of rape. That terrified me. I would never believe someone like Harry is capable of that. He did it to save his family, how could someone not see how much he cares for them? It's always been about his family, and now he's about to go to jail for doing the one thing he promised to his family.

To keep them safe.
