Watering My Roots
The tears in my eyes have already
Dried up,
But the pain, it still exists.
Quite often I find myself giving into it,
Much too weak to resist.
But today, let me tell you, will not
Get the best of me.
The tears from my heart
Have watered the roots of my tree
And from these roots I will grow to great heights
And many battles I will fight,
All of which will be won
By me
Because my own tears have watered
The roots of this tree.
