Time (Newt X Reader Book 6)

- Field Trip -

"Yes?" The door opened and Minho stood there in shorts and no shirt.
"Can I come in? Newt is pissing me off"
Minho stood aside and let me pass with a slight smile.
"Give him a break greenie, he's just found out he has a sister in Wicked, anyone would be depressed about it"
"But-"
"Just give him a break ok?
"You've changed your tune Minho"
"Newt is my best friend, I've accepted I'll never be your Newt. I want to go back to being best friends greenie. But seriously just take his mind off of it. Anyway maybe it won't be for much longer tomorrow we're going for a road trip to search the WICKED HQ  see what cameras they have outside. I just heard from Atticus, me you Newt Atticus and Thomas are going with some of the guards"
"No way! Really?!" I was very excited. Finally getting to go outside. Smell the air and hopefully feel rain.
"Go back to your room, and be a fiancée to him ok?" When Minho said that word my eyes shot to the makeshift ring around my finger, I'd totally forgotten about it. I hugged Minho tight and Kissed him on the cheek "thank you" then ran back down the hall to my room.
Newt was asleep when I got there. I didn't wake him up I simply got undressed and slid into the bed next to him wrapping my arms around his waist. Newt shifted and a smile tugged on his mouth and he turned over and pulled me against him. "I'm sorry"  he made a shushing sound and kissed me gently. My heart fluttered and suddenly the ring on my finger felt a lot heavier.

The next morning I raced to get ready and ran downstairs to the dining room. Ava was already there "Minho told you didnt he?"
I grinned and sat down grabbing bits of food from each of the plates laid in the middle. Everyone else came down in staggered clumps. Newt rubbed his eyes and sat next to me kissing my cheek. From across the table Minho smiled and tucked into his mound of food.
"So today we are sending a few of you to scout around the HQ. It's dangerous and we have no idea what technology they have, so we will have microphones and ear pieces on each of you so we will be in contact at all times. All of you will have bullet proof vests on and be equipped with any weapons you may need,m. All of those involved already know who they are so you have 10 minutes before the cars arrive. Off you go."

Sorry it's so short. But I will be sticking to my new schedule in my about section from now on so there will be another part tomorrow!
