Newt walked into my room, he was surprised when he saw that I was sat in one of the armchairs I had pushed towards the window.
"We have-" Newt began but Minho pushed passed him and shoved a long box in my face.
"HERE HAVE THIS OH MY GOD IT'S AMAZING!"
I looked at the 'amazing' box on my lap. I looked towards Newt and he smiled at me sitting on the arm of my chair.
Minho knelt on front of me and held the box while I lifted the lid.
"What's this?" I gasped looking at a metal arm.
"Your new arm" he grinned.
"My what now?"
"Ava had it made up for you" My brother stalked in. He sat on the table next to me, I was worried it would break under his weight but it didn't. "Do you want to try it?" He asked.
I didn't answer but Minho carefully lifted the arm. I realised it couldn't hurt to try. Atticus rolled my sleeve up over my stump. Minho looked like he was going to vomit. He hadn't seen it like this for a while and the scars had gotten worse. Making it look alot worker than it actually was.
"It's ok" I told him smiling. He nodded and Atticus attached the shiny metal arm that I could now see was engraved with a vine pattern. Was it a joke? A kick in the teeth to remind me.of that damn maze and the vines? Was it to remind me of Newt and his ankle? They weren't there to be pretty that much I knew. I couldn't look at the pattern anymore, now I wanted to vomit. I kept my eyes on the fingers, they looked so much like my others if my others were metal.
"OK" Atticus said letting go of the arm.
It was light, really light. The place where the metal met my skin tingled at the current that was obviously running through it.
If I closed my eyes it felt as if I had an arm like it did a few weeks ago. It was weird but I tried to move the metal fingers and with no trouble at all they moved. I wiggled them and clenched them into fists and released them.
"How does it feel?" Newt put a hand on my shoulder. The hand with his wedding ring on. I could see it in the corner of my eye. God I was lucky.
And just like that my mental state changed.
I didn't want to sit in here all day. I didn't want to watch Newt look at me like I was dying. I wasn't dying. I was totally healthy and now I had a bad ass robot arm!!
I exhaled and pulled him by the shirt to kiss me.
"I love you" I said before he could say anything. He smiled a smile I had missed an awful lot. The one where his eyes light up and all his perfect teeth show.
"I love you too greenie" he kissed my head.
"Atticus...can you help me learn to fight again?"
"You got it kid!"
"Can I join?" Newt asked "I kinda feel a bit useless"
"Marriage counselling...the fun way" Atticus laughed and we all followed.
Newt whispered "come shower with me when they are gone" in my ear and I blushed. Everyone obviously noticed because they all made excuses to leave. Even Minho.

(Little bit of smut.coming up like literally a tiny bit just warning you....)

Newt took my arm off for me and then lifted my shirt over my head. He knelt in front of me between my legs and kissed my stomach and chest and neck. Little sighs escaped my mouth as his lips touched me. I ran my hand through his hair and smiled as he sighed. He took his shirt off and let me run my hand over his back and shoulders, finally settling on his neck, I pulled his face to mine and our lips locked. His tongue played with mine and my insides melted. He bit my lip gently and lifted me up wrapping my legs around his waist.

"You are so beautiful" he whispered into my skin. He kissed me and kept holding me as he turned the shower on and stepped in still holding onto me.
"Shut up" I whispered and kissed him again.
