Chapter 22-Happy Birthday Jamie

Jamie's PoV

I am woken up by my daughter jumping on me 'dada dada up' she says and carries on jumping on me 'okay baby girl daddy is up' I grab her and tickle her at just over a year and a half she has Dakota's eyes and my dark hair she giggles when I tickle her I hear another giggle and I know it's my wife she is stood at the door with her baby bump on show as our son seems in no hurry to arrive 'happy birthday babe' she says as she walks over 'thank you baby and thank you for letting our daughter wake me up' I chuckle she just shrugs her shoulders like she had no part in it 'how's my baby boy doing' I ask and rub her bump 'I just wish he would arrive but he seems to be in no hurry' she sighs 'come on buddy come and meet me mummy and your sisters' I say and rub her bump I get a kick 'see he's listening to me' I joke 'ha ha Jamie he can't be as I am still pregnant' she says back. Alexandra hands me a present with Dakota's help I open it and it's a tshirt with WORLDS BEST DADDY on it 'thank you sweetheart and you too buddy' I kiss Alexandra's cheek and Dakota's bump. Dakotas present to me is a new watch which she had engraved To Jamie love you always Dakota 'thank you baby it's amazing' I say and kiss her she stands up and let's out a gasp 'you ok' I ask her 'yeah fine I am going to get everything ready for your party' she says and leaves the room.

Dakota's PoV

Today is Jamie's birthday and our son is yet to put in an appearance I get Alexandra up and she toddles to the bedroom to help me wake Jamie up 'dada dada up' she jumps on him after I gently place her on the bed 'okay baby girl daddy is up' he grabs her and tickles her. I have moved to the door so it looks like I had nothing to do with his wake up call I giggle when I hear Alexandra giggle from Jamie's tickle assault on her 'happy birthday babe' I walk over to the bed 'thank you baby and thank you for letting our daughter wake me up' he lets out a chuckle bed I just shrug my shoulders and act innocent 'how's my baby boy doing' he says and rubs my bump 'I just wish he would arrive but he seems to be in no hurry' I sigh 'come on buddy come and meet me mummy and your sisters' he says and rubs my bump our son kicks back like he is saying something 'see he is listening to me' he jokes 'ha ha Jamie he can't be as I am still pregnant' I huff.
We sit down so Jamie can open his presents Alexandra hands him a present with my help he opens it and it's a tshirt with WORLDS BEST DADDY on it 'thank you sweetheart and you too buddy he kisses Alexandra's cheek and my bump. I pass him my present which is a watch that I had engraved To Jamie love you always Dakota 'thank you baby it's amazing' he kisses me I go to stand up to get ready for the small party we are having when I get a sharp pain and gasp 'you okay' Jamie asks 'yeah fine I am going to get everything ready for your party' I walk out of the room and as I shut the door I get another sharp pain but shake it off.
It is only a few people round due to us not making many plans due to my due date Jamie's dad step mum sisters and Dulcie are here and as its Jamie's birthday Dulcie is staying over night I keep getting pains on and off but don't tell Jamie. I am in the kitchen when Samia comes in 'Dakota you can fool Jamie but not me I can see your in pain' she says 'I will be fine I don't want to worry Jamie' I say but then I feel a gush of water and I cry in agony 'Jamie, Jim come to the kitchen now' I hear Samia shout.

Jamie's PoV

I am worried about Dakota she looks ok but she's very quiet we just have my family and of course Dulcie over and she is staying the night 'she's fine son' my dad says as I look at Dakota 'I know I just worry about her' I say back I see her go into the kitchen and Samia my step mum follows her I am guessing to help her 'so son how does it feel to be having a little boy of your own' my dad chuckles 'I can't wait I just wish he would hurry up and arrive' I chuckle back I then hear Dakota cry out from the kitchen and before I move I hear Samia shout 'Jamie, Jim come to the kitchen now' I quickly say to my sisters to watch Dulcie and Alexandra and dash to the kitchen. I go in and find Dakota bent over in pain 'baby I'm here it will be fine' I soothe and rub her face 'but I have ruined your day' she crys 'baby your about to give birth to our little boy it's far from ruined' I kiss her and hold her hand she goes to say something but is gripped by the pain 'I called an ambulance' my dad says as apart from Dakota the rest of us have had a drink, 'let's help her upstairs so the girls won't come in and see her in pain as they will only get upset' my dad says calmly. We all help Dakota to our bedroom she sits on the bed and suddenly say that she needs to push 'baby the ambulance is on its way please try not to push' I am worried for her and our son 'but Jamie I need to push' she cries. Samia takes over as helps Dakota lie back 'looks like your son is in a hurry, Jamie I need you to get some towels to wrap the baby in' I run to the bathroom and I am then back at Dakota's side, Samia gently lifts Dakota skirt and removes her underwear and says that she can see the top of the baby's head 'holy shit why is it happening so quick' I pant out 'he is just in a hurry' I hear Dakota cry out in pain again Samia says that the head is out and on the next contraction to really push the next contraction arrives and she pushes hard I hear a distant siren and my dad goes to meet the ambulance but just as he leaves Dakota gives a final push and our son arrives crying at the top of his lungs I join him in crying and so does Dakota ' hello buddy well that was one hell of an entrance' I say and stroke his head 'happy birthday Jamie' Dakota half giggles half cries 'well he really was the best birthday present ever' I chuckle 'do you have a name?' Samia asks 'we do its Charlie James Dornan' I say proudly. Dad comes in with the paramedics 'meet your grandson dad' the paramedics cut the cord and decide that Dakota doesn't need to go to hospital but need to arrange for a check up with a midwife in the next few days once he is cleaned up I go downstairs to get Dulcie and Alexandra and bring them to meet their new brother 'budder' Dulcie says and kisses his forehead while Alexandra looks at her brother and just says 'baba' as she's a bit younger then Dulcie and doesn't really understand 'that's right your brother' 'what's his name' dad asks as he didn't hear me tell Samia 'it's Charlie James Dornan' I say and I sit with my son in my arms my two princesses in front of me and my wife at my side and in this moment I know I have everything that my heart wants-my family
