The New Kid

Katelyn's POV
I woke up this morning. Trying not to wake up Travis. When I got up I see Travis is still sleeping and I left him a note saying:

Hey Honey

       . I decided to go for a jog. I'll be home in 30 mins. Time now 7:13 so probably 7:43. Love you Trav.

I then left for a jog at the park. I looked at the bench and saw a figure. It was a light blue haired girl. I came up to her and knelt down. She looks like me but smaller.

K: Excuse me, why are you alone here?
She just kept facing down. I held her by the chin and pulled her face up and saw tears streaming down her face.
???: My name is Avery.
K: Why are you crying?
Av: My parents told me to stay here and never look for them.

Av: What's your name?
K: My name is Katelyn
K: Wanna be part of my family instead?
She nodded to Katelyn. I held her hand leading to her house. I called Travis.
K: How old are you anyway?
Av: I'm 4 yrs old.
Travis arrived and Avery ran behind my leg.
T: Who is this little girl?
K: Her name is Avery and she's 4 yrs old. She was crying on the bench when I saw her and brought her here since her parents left her to do nothing.
K: So technically I will have another daughter.
T: The more the merrier.
I brought Avery inside and brought her in front of the TV for her to watch.
Kate and Trevor is still a year old.
Av: Is he your husbwand?
K: Yes Avery.
I'm still figuring out where Avery could sleep at.
K: Avery do you mind if you stay with me and Travis in bed?
Av: I wouldn't mind Katelyn.
K: You can call me mom from now on and him dad. Ok?
Av: Ok mom.
Skip to night
Av: Hey mom.
K: Yes?
Av: Can I sleep between you 2?
K: Yeah sure.
I whispered to Travis
K: Act like she's your daughter Travis.
T: Ok
K: Like actual daughter.
Both me and Avery were sleepy and our eyes are getting heavy.
Travis kissed both our foreheads and said good night.
